Everyone watching feels sad for these women and girls to have to live that way. The only hope for them isn't going to come from outside the borders of Afghanistan. Only when their fathers, brothers and sons decide to put an end to this will it change. And, if the fathers, brothers and sons don't want to put an end to it, then the women need to begin to organize as best they can to find ways to put up systematic resistance. We have seen what happens when outside powers try to go in and change the cultures of other nations. It doesn't work.

It is counterintuitive to these heavily religious, old school males to do so as they rightfully so, equate a woman’s autonomy to choose to be educated and earn her own monies as a man’s ‘death sentence’ because when women can be educated and earn sufficient monies….women will increasingly choose NOT to be bogged down with traditional roles (marriage, birthing children keeping house, and basically stfu) if she engages at all. It only took about one hundred years for Western women to move that needle of strong and independent. TBC I’m a western woman so I’m not faulting women in the least. Men need to evolve but the self perceived superior males and indoctrinated females that also perceive males as superior must catch up with the evolution of all of this as subjugation and indiscriminate birthing is at the beginning phases of stoppingballl of that nonsense. Im not pushing this…how society is set up is pushing this. I was watching some short doc about Indian women becoming educated within certain parts of India and some old Indian male basically stated that he is against Indian girls becoming educated because then they wouldn’t need Indian men! That is nonsensical…bridges, roads etc must still be built and maintained 😂. So he meant intimately. Men must evolve. Those men will survive what is coming. Couples that are established and solid will survive as well and single women can always find some lonely male to help her survive or she links with other single women. But men with zero charm, assets or skills….trouble ahead for them. A woman can be daft as all get out but she has a born in value. Again…I just observe these dynamics over five decades…I don’t make these rules.

Make no mistake: Sharia is not a fundamentalist interpretation of a peaceful religion, it is a literal translation of the Quran and the hadiths into law. Now, the majority of Muslims do worship peacefully, I'm not saying all Muslims are violent people, there are a billion of them and the majority are normal people who want a normal peaceful life. But the fundamentalist regimes take the Quran literally. If Christians followed the bible literally, we would have the same problem... Women being stoned in the streets and forced to marry their dead husband's brother and all that. In the US we are lucky to have separation between church and state. They claim that a woman needs to concent before she can marry. But Ive learned from many ex muslims who left their faith that a womans silence is also considered concent. If her parents ask for her concent to marry a man and she says nothing, that is considered concent and is legal. Ya Allah, O Most Merciful help the Afghanistan's women Allah is sufficient O believers! Do not enter the homes of the Prophet without permission ˹and if invited˺ for a meal, do not ˹come too early and˺ linger until the meal is ready. But if you are invited, then enter ˹on time˺. Once you have eaten, then go on your way, and do not stay for casual talk. Such behaviour is truly annoying to the Prophet, yet he is too shy to ask you to leave. But Allah is never shy of the truth. And when you ˹believers˺ ask his wives for something, ask them from behind a barrier. This is purer for your hearts and theirs. And it is not right for you to annoy the Messenger of Allah, nor ever marry his wives after him. This would certainly be a major offence in the sight of Allah.
