For anyone wondering why this game seems to hold up perfectly against today’s games, graphically. They had no choice. This was a “flagship” game. its main purpose was to show off what the Xbox could handle on day one. If anything this game is proof that today’s devs are just lazy and greedy. I still enjoy this game from time to time. It’s extremely linear, but it doesn’t try to hide it. Knows what it is, and does it well.

@Rvscito3 жыл бұрын
@@malayafreespirit1905 You are very confused...I will help you to understand In the late Empire, the Germans starts to join the Roman army, to obtain citizienship The sack of Rome wasn't "so bad"...when the Vandals arrives at the Gates of Rome, the Pope (he already exist) negotiate a "peaceful" sack with the Vandals The pact was: Vandals can take all the precious things in the city (except Pope and Senatorial things), but they have to spare the people So, it was the most peaceful sack of the history (still so sad, but at least anyone died) Ostrogots "occupy" Italy, only because the Eastern Roman Empire and the remnants of the Imperial Senate want this With Odoacre "Dux of Italy", he had total military power, but the economical and politcal system was still in the hands of the Roman Senate, that became a sort of Deep State (and probably is the same as today) For sure, some Germanics starts to mix with the local Latin people, but the others left italy some years later, thanks to the Roman Reconquista by Justinian Then, the Longobards arrives, the new Roman army try to fight them, but they were too much, so the Romans had to retreat and consolidate the position on river "Po", that divide Centre Italy and North Italy Over the river Po, the Logobards starts mix with the Latin, while under river Po, the Romans mantain the position and starts to rebuilt a new Italy So, only in the north there is a strong germanic DNA influence, but in Centre and South Italy the DNA is still Roman (R1b)

I know mate, historically i can slate this on every step of the story, even down to the roman kit they have. But i thought it was good for what it was, in combat melee atleast. Despite being as historically accurate as braveheart ;)

The problem of this game isn´t that´s not historically accurate. It could be 100% historical accurate and it would still suck,because the gameplay is shit.

The historically accurate version of this event would be Romans landing on the beach and nothing happening. Wouldn’t make a great game.

Why does nobody every point out the supernatural angle in these games? Historical accuracy always seems to be the go-to argument.

Ahhhmmm they could have rendezvous first at the landing area and form the Testudo before they storm the beach? 🙀🙀🙀🙀

Good game, way too short, needs a prequel or a sequel. Doesn't even need a graphics update if they want to release another one, the graphics are beautiful.

Maybe take ur time with the game and don’t rush it ?? Story wont be so short then.

Armour is wrong You don't hack or slash with a gladius Romans didn't fight out of formation... they would have hit the beach and formed a testudo not charged scattered about with their shields down right infront of the ships Also their ships would have been firing artillery right back at them. Also the Romans only carried two pila spears that would bend once they hit a target so seeing him pluck them up and launch them is wrong lol Looks fun tho

After Romans gone,Scotts came out to restore the plain and rest of the Celts brought some help to Anglo-Saxons. But you know what's coming next.

You kind of forget England is a thing when you talk about Ancient Rome.
