Notice the rope, or wire, looks metallic, which may indicate that it may be composed of an cortosis alloy. Also, cutting the rope may risk damaging the droid, so the other option is safer

A little bit of help on time of older old republic date back around 4000 years ago and jushus hill pointed out high republican takes around 500. The reason I think there is some confusion on high republican Era is these very new star wars lore that really had not been fleashed out well, on top of it less your following star wars lore channel there good chance you have not heard of it

What's weird about this is that this scene basically confirmes that droids are connected through the force? Or have a soul? Cal's force sense should let him remember whispers of the force, and all living beings are a part of the living force. Droids aren't, they are a created consciousness, man made. So how can cal see Visions from a droids perspective as if it has a soul and eyes.

Well, we have seen certain Jedi with *unique* connections to droids, both in and out of current canon. Anakin Skywalker and R2-D2 and C-3PO, for example. It's often suggested he has a unique bond to them. Or in Knights of the Old Republic 2, the Jedi Exile states that she can detect and notice T3-M4 while Kreia, the ostensibly more experienced force user, cannot. So, it may come down to a Jedi's specific talent or awareness that lets them bond to droids in a unique way that not every force user can.

Thought and memory (presumably) still have a tangible physical component in the SW universe, even leaving aside the matter of souls. A droid thinks with electrical signals, same as a human brain - if that physical component exists, the Force could interface with it or "remember" it as an echo. While the Force may have an especially powerful connection to life, it's fundamentally connected to ALL matter and physics of the universe, not just living things (hence being able to lift a rock or whatever).

@@cr90captain89 While correct, later in the Ebon Hawk as she is teaching the Exile to read the thoughts of the crew, the Exile calls out that T3-M4 has a stuck motivator and she can detect the droid's operations and intentions while Kreia cannot. Kreia can read their presence by the energy patterns, the Exile can *see* T3. Not disagreeing, just clarifying. 🙂

For me when I was a kid I thought the so called "new and improved" droids are just tin and weak because they were meant for mass production because of the war. So in my mind droids are like minis or figurines some have minimal detail for mass production and the detailed one, the better ones are made for a very long time perfecting every detail of it. Just like how ships from Star Trek are smooth while ships on Star wars have exposed things outside because Star Wars is set on a Dystopia and Star Trek on a Utopia. So for me in the past the universe of Star Wars was in a Utopian galaxy were every technology is becoming so advance and so powerful that even droids were also.

I'm have low expectations for the high republic since it feels like Disney trying to make there own version of the old republic but seeing this is okay so far. But then again it's Disney so i wouldn't put it put it pass them to screw it up since there pervious attempts didn't pan out well.

They are not, Disney has nothing to do with the High Republic. The High Republic was an endeavor by authors at Lucasfilm to expand upon this untouched area of history in the Star Wars universe. The High Republic is nothing like The Old Republic. Also, the books and comics have been out for a while now and its garnered enough of a fan base who has read the books.

Oof. The player trying to cut the cable, only for the game to essentially say, "No, you have to do the puzzle," is officially the first act of gameplay I've seen from this game. All that effort into making the game look like it was shot on camera, only to do something that immersion breaking. And while it doesn't invalidate the whole game or anyting, anytime the PC is unable to do something I would be able to in their place, I consider that a fail. Having to find another way around because of a chest-high wall, having to find some specific source of fire to light a candle when there are torches all along the dungeon wall, having no dialogue option to warn the villagers about the imminent invasion when I go back to town for supplies, etc.
