@@avinash4evr I think the 30s are us maturing and coming to the realization of responsibilities of life. I think we're more established, completely independent and are facing more realities than in our 20s. Less protected from the world. It's a tough pill to swallow. I moved out when I was 20 but the 30s were still a tougher decade for me.

I think at one point I kept going because I wanted to hear the next Tool album haha. But you know what? Things are better now. There will be shit times again, but you gotta remember to live for the good times. In the meantime, use your music to get through the bad, but don't live for them. J Ritty I gave up on them, sadly. Everything they have ever done including their Eps to sing the sorrow was pure magic for me. I remember waiting and waiting for a new album to come out and I was beyond heart broken. Even my husband had high hopes that their latest album was going to be more original sounding, nope 👎 oh well at least we still have the memories of what they once were. Still one of my favorite bands and it’s comforting to know they their music will still be there whenever I need them.
@zonesquestiloveunderworld14 күн бұрын
"Sing the Sorrow" was phenomenal at the time.... but almost two decades later it's even better, and even more emotionally powerful. AFI's magnum opus, IMHO, and this song is such a perfect conclusion, musically and lyrically. Jade's guitar is particularly riveting, I love that crunchy-yet-smooth tone he seems to favour. Probably my number 1 AFI song, tied with "The Great Disappointment", "Reivers Music" and "Bleed Black".

They are really very credible punk rockers. When they started, AFI was compared to the Misfits. So just call 'em AFI, and Alt-Rock band.

We all can relate to this song no matter where we are from, or how old we are, because sadness is universal

I seriously remember discovering this song by listening to the album while cleaning my room (mom forced me) and CD played all the way through and I just never hit stop. 13-15 minutes later this shit starts up and I'm like WHAT?

AFI is one of those bands that avoid media press except for when they have some new music flowing. You can always flood to their twitters as well.

This song saved my life when I was a depressed, suicidal teen. I’m forever thankful to AFI for that.

this song brings tears in my eyes, what doesn't happen that much. I can feel the emotions behind this song. Sadness, anger, fear. This song has so much power, making me really understand the deeper meaning behind it.

Probably deserved a video more than a hidden track, same goes with Papa Roach's "Tightrope" on the end of Infest, always loved this song.
