I've never played afk arena but i decided to give this game a try. I'm enjoying it so far, but i fear its going to be heavily p2w. I'll enjoy it for what it is f2p and see how it goes. I will admit I really like the art of the game, and I give them props for all of the quality of life things they have.

if you go p2w in afk arena... is going to be hard... you need alot of money... you have 2 options. 1 just go with what you got and be happy, from time to time they will give you more to do summons... 2 continue to retart and try new characters that way.

Game is great so far, a lot of gatekeeping as in every Idle game of this style but man it's great. And of course it'll be P2W but people gotta remember that this is a marathon, not a race so enjoy at your own pace the great strategy (actual strategy) game that Lilith brought, at least until they drop an insanely broken unit that breaks the game... brings back memories 🤪🤪

Surprised by how good this game is considering how bad the whole idle genre has been over the years. They really innovated with quality of life, gameplay, and made it all look really nice and polished. Hopefully it keeps growing and improving. I’m trying to get some irl friends to play but they’re not really into these sort of games unless it’s by Hoyoverse lol.

I feel they made the game a bit too time-gated because they don't want people to end the story quick. I mean I understand that after a while it becomes an afk game but the fact that the gating already starts after like three days even when you're paying is pretty ridiculous. You can actually get stuck for multiple days within a week

This happens more and more the further you go. You will got locked by purple essence pretty quickly and can’t increase total team resonance but maybe once a week so you’re going to be locked to maybe 1/2-1 area per week if you play every day

Serious lack of innovation in this game. It is a rehash of Magnum Quest and Souls. Sure, you get to walk around a game map, but for all intents and purposes, it's very much like progressing through the standard numbered areas. The progression and game modes are nothing new. Very disappointed. I bought the monthly pass, so that is how long I will give it, but as it stands. Same ole same ole.
