I go to sleep, many nights, reliving this night. Dragged my Eagle loving mate with me to Melbourne, I am convinced he believes it is the best game he has seen. Best game I have witnessed. 20 pts down at last change, I thought it was all over, until I saw the Hawks huddle, they knew! Mitchell to Gunston, handpass on his knees to Burgoyne, GOAL, so loud! I remember 5 mins to go, Cats played like there was 30 secs. Respect for the Cats.

Greatest Game I have been privileged to witness. I think my Eagles mate agrees. Final change, 20 pts down and the Hawks were back slapping and congratulating each other. Breust to Lewis to Gunston (on one knee) to Silk. GOAL!!!! The Cats then played like there was 30 secs to go, not 5 mins. More crowd noise than at any other game!

I remember being at the game, and at 3/4 time was so convinced that we had choked. That feeling when Roughead and Poppy run down the wing at the end of the game was one of the best feelings I've ever had!

The noise when Roughy broke free on the wing was the loudest I’ve ever heard at game of footy. Completely drowned out the siren. The only way we could tell the game had ended was because the clock had stopped.
