Average height is approx 6'2", key forwards and key backs are around 6'4" to 6'8", Ruckmen height about 6'8" to 7'0", midfielders from about 5'10" to 6'4", small forwards and small backs, there's usually 2 or 3 at each end per team are generally 5'8" to 6'0" Average weight about 87kg (190lbs), Key forwards about 95kg (209lbs) to 108kg (238lbs) Key backs usually a little lighter approx 92kg (203lbs) to 105kg (231lbs). Midfielders about 85kg (187lbs) to 92kg (203lbs) Small forwards and backs from about 70kg (155lbs) to about 85kg (187lbs) One of the best players imo would be Patrick Dangerfield, he's a midfielder that goes forward, his stats: 189cm (6'2">) 97kg (214lbs) could run 100m about 10.6sec, huge power through the hips. When you said @8:47 "I wonder who's the fastest", the guy on screen would of been one of the fastest but he got caught that time, that's Patrick Dangerfield, he featured I think 5 times in this video. @13:37 you mention injuries, imo this game would have the most injuries (per capita) of any team sport easily. Hamstrings and knee injuries are most common, concussions and shoulder injuries probably next, hand and foot injuries can be common too. Funny thing about this video is these are the legal hits and tackles barring a couple. There's plenty of illegal hits and tackles that happen in the game too, they're a little more brutal generally.

@@alohaswishreacts1259 hows your cardio? midfielders in the AFL run approx 14-18km (8.7-11.2 miles) a game.

BTW there's always exceptions to the rule regarding player height/weight and positions. One of the best ever key forwards in the history of the game was Gary Ablett sr 6'1" 214lbs (97kg) played from 1982 to 1997, the average key forward height back then would have been a little shorter compared to today but he was still short for that position back then.

Thanks again for showing interest in our sport. In 1979 Carlton played Collingwood in the Grand Final. I was at the game, one of 120,000 people. It was my first time at a grand final at mighty Melbourne Cricket Ground. The atmosphere is something that I will forget. Still get chills when I think about it. If you ever come to Australia I would suggest you come in our Spring, which is when the AFL finals are played. I'm sure you would be caught up in the passion of our fans at that time. It would be an amazing experience for you to attend a finals match. Just something to think about . 🤔👍

Jerseys are called jumpers in Australia almost all the designs are original s from over 100 years ago not much detail back then but they have different ones for special games..like aboriginal art detailed jumpers ..and Anzac style.a lot of the players are almost as fast as an Olympic sprinter..
