@jakeseymour24843 жыл бұрын
It’s definitely one of the greatest but to say you’d be crazy not to think it’s THE greatest is actually what’s crazy. Stupid really ..Jarman kicked 5 in the final quarter to win the actual grand final for the crows in 97. Dom Sheeds winner from the pocket in 2018 and the entire sequence of play leading up to it was truly epic. Essendons 9 Goal last quarter to storm over the hawks in 84 after the humiliation of 83. Leo Barrys mark in 2005. Tom Boyd’s game and centre square bomb that sealed the drought breaking dogs flag of 2016. Max Gawns 5 goal prelim performance. Melbourne’s 107 vs 6 score in the final 45 minutes of last weeks GF. No doubt Davis final term is right up there with the GOAT but it’s subjective and not “crazy” to think otherwise
@squiz44653 жыл бұрын
@@jakeseymour2484 @Jake Seymour all those are elite but this one is a level above. Davis scored more in that quarter than his team did the whole game, one with literally 5 seconds to go and went on to break the longest droubt in AFL history because of it. Jarmans 5 let's be honest the crows were winning that game if he kicked 2. Dom sheeds goal/play is fair but it's only play, Davis is a whole quarter. Leo Barry's mark, even if he drops it they still win that game 99/100 times. Max fawns goals, they dominated the game so didn't impact the result. And tom boyd is great moment but clearly doesn't compare to this

This just has to be the best moment in AFL history, what a fairytale, look at how HUNGRY those swans players are... The second you see Stevie J at 1:28 not chase for it, you know the swans win. I just think the situation makes it so much more sweeter, haven’t won a grand final in so many years, 4 goals in one quarter all of them being wild, the last goal being the best with 2 seconds left on the clock to put them in the grand final in such a low scoring game. 4 goals in a game like that is like 8 goals.
