@@comparativereligiondailynews Unfortunately by saying that you display the same propensity for gross generalisations that afflicts most desis, and the secular liberals in particular. Allow me to express why I asked the question. Islam exists beyond the borders of Pakistan, and you will see that elsewhere scholars, in general from the mainstream, from different fiqh schools have a mutual respect as they recognise the calibre and respect the others point of view. You will see this if you go and sit with scholars from other countries, and even in the west. However, of these who I have mentioned Ghamdi to and know him, on learning of his opinions have been bluntly scathing of his methodology and his flawed opinions. So even outside of the peculiarities of the Pakistani circles, Ghamdiyat does not have the respect of the wider body of scholars. As a general rule, in life, one will view a person's calibre in their work by what their peers say about them. Ghamdi does not have that level of endorsement from his peers. These peers would be people who have studied the scared texts as well. If Ghamdi cannot convince them, in my mind that means he should be viewed with suspicion. It amazes me then to find people who have no qualifications other than what they have inclinations and whims towards judge anyone like Ghamdi to a 'true great scholar'. I do not find the reason for following him that people give in of themselves convincing at all.

The whole point of this podcast is to seek justification of Islamic rulings through logic. We can't take this approach because only Allah is All knowing and our knowledge is a work in progress. Hence, just because we can't understand something, it doesn't mean it is wrong. The right approach is to reach Allah and Islam through His signs by pure Logic. Once you're certain that there is One True God and Islam is His Deen. Then submit your will to whatever the rulings of Islam are. Our efforts should be put in use to best 'understand' what's being instructed by Allah and apply it in our lives instead of challenging what's being said through Logic. That's what Iblees did when he thought he was better than Adam because he is made of fire and Adam is made of clay. He used his logic against Allah's commandment. May Allah guide us all to the right path. Ameen
@AdilRafiqueChohdary6 ай бұрын
We have to submit But before we have to understand what are the rulings and on what bases they are given. Then we follow and submit our will to them in true ways according to the will of God, with faith and trust. Otherwise, if we go blindly there are high chances of going against God’s will.

Muhammad Ilyas Sahib is a brave man for facing tough questions from his host. That being said, I believe that if you're a Muslim, better follow the same mindset that he carries. I noticed that when it comes to the subject of science and evolution, his knowledge is completely lacking. That's the case in which all the clergy around the world turns a blind eye. Genetic mutation is not just an "error", it's a scientific fact. It happens today and has been happening for a really long time.

So for a very specific reason is when men are allowed to marry to more than one
@vermasattu7 ай бұрын
On 12:46, Mr Hassan said that if women is not comfortable with his husband, she have to say his husband "Give me Talaak". What if her husband will not give him? Why women need from him? She should say, I can't live with you and here is my divorce.
@abdulrafay13847 ай бұрын
then thats the same as any gf-bf relation, whats the point of the institute of marriage?
@vermasattu7 ай бұрын
@@abdulrafay1384 Islam has no GF BF relationship. Equality is when anyone can give talaaq. You Muslim will not understand.
@abdulrafay13847 ай бұрын
@@vermasattu apart from you negating every aspect of my intellectual abilities just like that, the point i wanted to make was that in a gf-bf relation both parties have the authority to enter and exit the *contract* on free will. They are not bound by any certain set of rules. Whilst the institution of marriage imposes a lot of responsibilities on both parties especially the on the man such as providing and protecting etc. for both the wife and children even if he has to work without resting at all cuz thats his *fardh*. And any sane man would do that actually cuz thats how the chemistry of a high testosterone dependent person works. Another aspect of his chemistry/psychology is critical decision making and hence he has provided the ultimate responsibility of that matter of household as explained by the scholar in the pod that eventually they would be required to have a singular decision maker in critical matters(that doesnt mean no to consulting). And the woman can ask for talaaq for the minutest of reasons which are against that certain contract of marriage(shari'i reasons) and would have to be granted. But if after all the back breaking faraidh imposed on the man if a woman is allowed to walk out just when she feels like it *like an bf-gf relationship* then that won't be a balanced contract(of marriage) and the benefits she'll get from the man as established in the most modern cultures is just a cherry on top. And trust me if i were an avg man after all these impositions, i'd prefer having gfs over marrying ever.
@vermasattu7 ай бұрын
Just a simple answer for your long long long comment. If Both parties are happy, its ok. But if One person is not happy, he have complete right to do anything which he wants. There is no point of carrying dead man on your shoulder while walking. So, Quraan and his 1400 years old teachings are useless in modern day world. If you want to adapt, its your choice. But, don't comment over my comment. I was telling my point to Host and Guest. You can walk away with your 1400 years old rule book.@@abdulrafay1384
@DwindlingLamp7 ай бұрын
If someone's not happy, then talk to someone first, if no one can convince you to stay, walk away. But women don't just "walk away", they turn into very selfish beings before walking away, wanting to make an example of the man before "walking away", taking everything from him , they don't even want the man's children to think good of their father. I am thankful for the 1400 year old rules because they prevent women from doing that to men. Today's women are just grown up unhappy irresponsible babies. If you think about it , babies lack empathy and sympathy, cuz they only understand what they want, not what their caretakers want.

Freedom that goes with false choices is not freedom. Someone has to correct you. For example 2 + 2 makes 4. If you belive it 5, you'll be called fool. First prove it 5 and then belive it for sure. 'Empirical evidence or science and statistics' aisay boltay hain Mooroo jesay khud quantum physicist hon. History and the present is littered with studies that were pushed under the rug due to committees and their agendas - specifically with respect to publication journals. Any scientist worth their weight and who does not have an agenda or follows a leftist cult like atheism will tell you that if there is a study explaining something, there are several others refuting it with same levels of care going into study design. Unfortunately, the people in charge of which studies get published are the ones who dictate public narrative around 'science'. This felt like a new-age atheist 'toddler' (in philosophical terms) is posing questions to a daee/student of the religion.
