Miss Bob and his snappy attitude. Guess he sold the shop and retired. Hope his health is good and he makes a guest appearance again!

Thanks guys for braving the cold and sharing with us. Saddens me every time it runs thru my mind " Jonsered is no more and parts availability will follow" . Thanks again guys always good spending time with you.

Yup, that's a downer for me as well. But still want to get that word out to everyone to think ahead on Jonny specific parts that may be needed down the road.

I never walked to school in the snow. Played football in it a few times. My mother was a school teacher, so I rode with her to school.

Walt and Bob, always good to hear you sharing your knowledge and viewpoint. Hope you cranked the heat up in the workshop to chase the chill!

Cranked it up pretty good on the way home. Always takes a little longer to chase that chill when I've been out in the wind!

We'll always bounce back into the old saws. Still have several interesting models that have yet to meet Walt's camera.

I skipped the 562. Kinda glad. 572 rocks. Was thinking on one to replace my 359.

My old 372 was a beast in the winter. Somebody ripped it off a while back and got out of the hobby for awhile. Now, today Im waiting on a 572 in the mail and binging chainsaw videos. Can't wait to get back on the Alaska mill and start some projects.

love the videos, watching from Canada, so I can relate to the weather. Thinking of upgrading to a 562. Currently using 2163 and 2156. My last upgrade was a ms362, also a good saw.

Done with winter, yet? Yep, I cooked out on my Blackstone griddle the last two nights. Cooked chicken breasts one night and hamburgers last night. My peach tree is full of blooms and my shoes were covered with pollen last night. Spent Saturday cutting some big stumps for a friend my 28 inch bar on my 660 was several inches to short to cut the stump down and had to cut both sides. That hickory wiped the working edges off the cutters on both m 660 and 360 but I finally got one of them down. The saws ran great but the chains did not like that hickory. It was about 70 degrees. It was in the high 70’s the last several days. I have been re-stringing the back deck and painting stuff. I have even worn shorts several days but will put on a jacket when the sun goes down. I switched over from my winter blend mixture for my two strokes to my summer blend, yesterday. My summer blend has a little Marvel in it.

Tried the same thing last week, but soon as I was about to head out we got a brief shower. Cooked the burgers inside and the whole house smelled like a cheap diner.

I had on my Sperry Top Siders, jeans and a USA tee shirt. I had a jacket on, early, but it came off, quick. Even my leather gloves came off, quick.

That's rubbing it in. LOL It did get nice later in the week. Hit 70° and made it down to a T-shirt for a couple hours.

Just curious since it's electronic, does the octane level matter with auto tune?
@digbyodell29243 жыл бұрын
Love my 550XP when I'm thinning because it's so light, I rarely drop anything over 18in. dia. when thinning and it has the power to chase cut. It often gets a little "cranky" on the second tank of gas though where it will lose power or bog a bit like it's not warmed up yet. Would that be the autotune trying to cope and not quite getting it right?
@spike60203 жыл бұрын
Does it just happen for a short time after the refill? Could be the fuel settings changing if you run them dry each time. Can even throw an error code, but not something to be concerned about.
@digbyodell29243 жыл бұрын
@@spike6020 Yes, this time of year when it's colder, in the hotter months it can last longer but that saw gets so hot I don't use it much in the summer.

Your 562 is about like my ms 360. I know Bob has a brand new chain on that 562 while mine has eaten a lot of wood. I hand file my chains.
@afleetcommand3 жыл бұрын
Ha! Don't think so, a 562 is way more saw :) A 562 is more in the 362 class. Maybe when our project is done and I head that direction to visit Alabama , we need to "test that theory :)
@spike60203 жыл бұрын
No no, my chain was not new John. Wasn't going to bring a new to barbed wire country on that hedge row! Only new chain was on Walt's modified 562. Made a world of difference as the first chain on that saw wasn't cutting well at all.

Anyone ever tryed any aftermarket cylinders for these saws
@johnclarke66473 жыл бұрын
You can bet that saw of Walt’s ain’t stock. He is to competitive for that. He probably has inserted a micro sized turbo somewhere on it and has it loaded with nitro, too, just to make sure his saw is faster than yours. I know you know how he operates, by now.
