Congratulations on Thailand....my neighbor and his partner have been waiting for this day there in Thailand for 45 years together, for 10 years they have had a child that they lovingly care for...and so far they have no rights, the farang partner never has any Received a work permit and only ever a 365 visa...Hope for all bi-national couples that the circumstances will improve...and Thailand will give the same rights that Thais enjoy abroad!!!

They must be very sure of their King's approval. I know that in the UK the King's consent is a given, but Thailand has some very tough laws for ANYONE who even slightly offends his highness. I hope he is more easy going when it comes to signing laws that the majority of the population and the Parliament want. I can't wait for this to come into law. Not only is it great for the Thai's, but it will help in making more meaningful BL plots. Maybe it might even influence the folks in Japan to change their laws. The people are for it, but the government is not. S Korea is another story. It is way too backward to approve anything positive of the LGBT community.

Please don't force your religion on others. Thailand is mostly buddhist country. Our view of homosexual is different from yours. We don't see homosexual as sins. And we don't care what sexual orientation one individual would be. Hurting people either by your words or your actions, however, is one of the 5 greatest sins in Bhuddism.
