This makes me think of our recent trip to see the ark encounter . As we walked close to the ark all I could think about was how God's hands were all over Noah's life. Putting God first and following is words was so apparent to me.

And what I have learned from experience is that whenever I have interpreted scripture in a wrong or incomplete way I feel this wrestling within myself to research the passage more and to see what others say about this passage. God is good so now whenever I feel that tugging in my heart I take that cue to research more thoroughly. Thanks Faith!

I think you are very smart in putting this video out right now with everything going on. People and can run to a passage in scripture and be quick to say “well you see?! It says so right here!” but take it out of context and as if they know Gods actual plans. Thanks for sharing your insights and wisdom Faith. I hear a deeper message between your words! ❤❤

I stopped reading my Bible for years over translation. Lot of pastors are KJV only. I finally decided it doesn't matter and I can understand the NLT/ESV better. I'm a woman and just want the jist of what is going on in the book. I do have questions after reading Judges wow what a book!!!! I don't worry about misinterpreting any scripture anymore I just try to make time for it.

Lord Jesus give me grace and endurance as I struggle to provide for my children as a single mother. Both of my sons are special needs so they require much from me. I’m constantly faced with financial hardships but my faith in you Lord Jesus is strong. Even as I struggle to pay rent every month and I struggle to buy groceries for my children, and as I struggle to do it all. I KEEP FAITH in you LORD. I know a blessing is on the way. 💕

Faith, will you prayerfully consider making a video to help us understand deliverance ministries and if those are biblical
@jeanenelatique
@jeanenelatique 3 ай бұрын
(Yes Faith it would be great for you to share some wisdom on this. 🤗) I would love to share that deliverance ministries are real but just like anything....and just how Faith talks about it.....a lot of things can be taken out of context or used in the incorrect way. I currently support a couple of deliverance ministries. They are close friends --- but keep in mind they are ministers of God with all subjects. They just have a gift to know what to do in that area more than others. There can be false teachers within deliverance and it can be done incorrectly. It is a place where the signs and wonders could turn into spectacles or shows. Just keep in mind that Jesus was a deliverance minister. LOOK TO HIM FIRST. The main thing with deliverance pastors is that they study it and really understand how to deal with demons and the proper way to do deliverance. It is not like exorcism in movies.There needs to be a certain type of wisdom and understanding , and not just anyone can do it. The biggest thing is NOT to be scared of deliverance, but to use the word of God. Follow Jesus' example. Faith teaches to look back at Him and God. And ask the the Holy Spirit to show you if certain ministries are of him or not. Satan definitely has counterfeits. The safest thing to do is to use God's word yourself and to ask the Lord to lead you to the right person that can help if you need deliverance. PRAY PRAY PRAY. GET IN THE WORD and know what happened each time Jesus healed and delivered. They go hand in hand many times. In order to be healed from a physical ailment or something mental , there may need to be deliverance of a demon that is plaguing a person. Other times there could just be something demonic affecting the person that it needs to flee. God will teach you over time. Be patient. Love y'all!!!

@dderr1356 3 ай бұрын
@@jeanenelatique thank you. Once Christians are filled with the Holy Spirit can demons enter or oppress them?I was under the belief that they can not and deliverance of demons is for ones not saved or filled with the Spirit.

Thank you Faith for a very important message, this really hit me hard! Still some time ago i was so afraid to do some deep Bible study just because I was so afraid that I´m going to interpret it the wrong way. But then I stopped myself and thought, which is going to do me more harm, the fact that i maybe dont get all the words right or the fact that I let the fear keep me away from God´s word? So i got a few good Bible study tools, been listening to some great pastors and really been diving in deep. And it´s been giving me so much! At the moment I study theology at the open uni, exegesis at the moment and it´s been so interesting! It really has opened a new door for me, like a new set of fresh eyes on how to see things. Blessings Faith, can´t wait for your book to come out!

Absolutely fantastic message. I wish this were common knowledge to all humans. Or the church led this way more often. The Bible isn't just for Sundays. Take time to not just quickly read, but dig into it. The message of don't put yourself in the story, chefs kiss. It's not just for America it's universal, double chefs kiss. I wish more people really knew Jesus (I'm just coming back to him within the last year) and not just Sunday school stories (which can be great don't get me wrong) there's just so much goodness and it makes my life feel meaningful and beautiful. The Bible is big and can be intimidating, but knowing the pieces and context helps SO much. Thank you for your words ❤️

Esau is the deceiver 😅 ‭‭Romans‬ ‭9‬:‭13‬ ‭ As it is written, Jacob have I loved, but Esau have I hated. All the nations from before are here now, esau is the so called “white” man and woman they have deceived and continue to deceive that’s why when Yahawashi so called “christ” comes back he will destroy and enslave all the other nations except the true biblical Israelites which are the so called “blacks hispanics/latinos & native Americans” Revelation‬ ‭13‬:‭10‬ ‭ He that leadeth into captivity shall go into captivity: he that killeth with the sword must be killed with the sword. Here is the patience and the faith of the saints. ‭‭ Obadiah‬ ‭1‬:‭3‬ ‭‬‬ The pride of thine heart hath deceived thee, thou that dwellest in the clefts of the rock, whose habitation is high; that saith in his heart, Who shall bring me down to the ground? The encouraging thing about true bible study is the fact that God knows your heart. He knows your longing and intent when studying scripture. Pray before your study, that the Holy Spirit would make it come alive and be clear to you. He is the helper. You’ll never be able to interpret the word of God by leaving God out of the interpretation. The important thing is that you humbly go at it with the seeking heart, and allow God to be your teacher. The fact that you’re taking the time to study the Word shows that you find important. He will bless your effort.

Bible study and commentary on Bible study should be Biblically based. Sometimes the best place to start is just simply with prayer and reading - exegesis and word studies are more advanced for people who need a simple understanding of God and His plan and His work --> which is where most people are. ❤

Do a contextualized word study! Even the literal words on the page leave out context like when it was written, to whom, etc. You want to read it with context in mind all the time! Now obviously this is something to practice and get better at, but you just have to do your very best at being faithful to the text and exegesis, because we really believe it's true!

From what I’ve learned in the past few years from Faith and other online teachers, how you approach the Bible is more important than the version you read. If the NLT is the version that will keep you coming back, then that’s your starting point. You can still do word studies or even translation comparisons (using BibleHub) of longer passages while using NLT. It’s about seeking truth and being open to continuing to learn.
@fnjesusfreak

John 4:22 Ye worship ye know not what: we know what we worship: for salvation is of the Jews.

Hey just wanted to let you know that you have someone impersonating you I think. I got a really weird comment on one of your posts acting like you with the same name and profile picture but it didn’t sound anything like you. It was trying to get me to call someone. Maybe you should warn people not to fall for stuff like that. The only difference is in their name the “to” is capitalized.

The Bible has no private interpretation.

Interpretation will always be to some degree subjective. Otherwise, we wouldn't have hundreds of denominations, some having split over even very small interpretive disagreements. Then you have differences in the early manuscripts, new manuscript discoveries, likely scribal errors and omissions, and idioms and other subtleties of meaning that don't always neatly translate to our language and culture. Even scholars who devote their lives to scriptural study sometimes have disagreements. Growing up Catholic, I always was being told that the problem with Protestantism was that with no central guiding authority, you end up with millions of individual popes putting their own spin on the texts. Not wrong. But of course, that doesn't mean the single Catholic view is the only view either. Just ask an Eastern Orthodox, and he'll be happy to tell you all the ways Catholics get it wrong, while a Lutheran will tell them they're both wrong, and a Southern Baptist might criticize all three. Overall, then, it seems maybe a little too easy or convenient to ascribe to God or "the enemy" the meanings we center on. In the end, no one is completely free of confirmation bias.

I always think of it this way: just as in the US we have the Supreme Court to interpret the Constitution (could you imagine what this country would look like if the interpretation was left up to its citizens individually???), the Bible has/needs its official interpreter, which is the Church who gave us the Bible.
