This video is one of the best I have found! Thank you for showing the whole process. As I watched I had a few questions: - What size corner punches for the inside cover and what size for the outside? - What size chisels and thread do you use? -What did you use to clean the glue off the spine? -Lastly, where did you get that awesome wood handled x-acto? Thanks in advance!
@sdgleathergoods55163 жыл бұрын
Thanks for checking out the video. For the corners punches, I use something like a 15mm for the inside and a 40mm for the outside. For stitching, I go with a 4mm spacing chisel and 0.6mm thread. To clean off the glue I actually used a little bit of acetone to soften the glue, but water can work too on this kind of spine. On spines that have more glue, using wheat starch helps. And about the X-acto knife, that is actually a leather handle that I made myself (it slips on and off the handle) so that it would be easier to hold.

What kind of glue do you use to attach the spine of the text block to the cover?
