Great interview! I'm a tech founder, interested in creating applications to facilitate AfCFTA in its mission. What a huge opportunity for Africa to proposer. Hopefully the governments are willing and able to step up to this historical occasion that will define Africa's future.

Im eager to hear discussions like this coz in EU/europe we have many unsolved problems and US/north america has their own set of issues too.... the more functional unions world has, regional ones, the more good ideas we will have to solve problems of very complex nature.

The secretary of this continental free trade area is in Accra. Ghana, where a few hours ago, the African youth has been treated with contempt. The respect of human dignity especially in this so-called Sub-Saharan Africa must be at center of all these. If we treat people with contempt we are paralyzing the energies people represent. We are shaping the being who doubt, and doubt even about themselves.

I like how you explained this in a simple way. I disagree that there is a NEED for foreign investment. Rain happens for free and the land is there. Plant the free seeds and then sell them. All of that only requires time, not money. With that money, you can then recruit engineers internationally to train local workers to build everything else that's needed
