you can change the pitch of the ocarina in OoT too, using the Z and R button in tandem with the analog stick, if you owned the OoT official players guide for the N64 there are the complete songs like Kakariko Village in there as sheet music where you need this feature (pitch changing via Z and R button and analog stick) as well to be able to play it. Not to be a dick, this video is amazing and I loved it, but it shouldn't compare to the amount of work that goes into other musical projects even here on KZbin. Basically it comes down to the fact that this concept allows for the parts to be put in a "raw" format. No mixing/mastering required. This means that the amount of editing can be kept at minimun. Don't get me wrong, It's still some good amount of work but nothing compared to other projects.
@DizzyDiddy
@DizzyDiddy 2 жыл бұрын
@@revonfyll I'm pretty sure you're underestimating the amount of work involved here. They also did something to ensure the background "nature" noises synced up. I don't have the game so I don't know if those can be turned off in game or not. Either way, a project like this is a lot of work. I'm curious what videos you're watching that are so much more work they make this look minor in comparison.
@revonfyll
@revonfyll 2 жыл бұрын
@@DizzyDiddy Playing a musical instrument and putting out a musical project involves exactly what is shown on this video plus 100 times more work. For example the covers of insaneintherainmusic, poopoopfart, smoothmcgroove (and many more channels). Understanding a piece, arranging it for other genres and instruments, getting to know how to play and recording each instrument (which is a much more sophisticated process), mixing and mastering the tracks inside a daw and THEN the video editing. I'm not saying this video doesn't have work put into it, but it doesn't compare to the work that others put into their craft. Also there is a guitarist called Bradley Hall who arranged and put a cover on the electric guitar of the ENTIRE first LotR movie. It's pretty amazing, it's on his channel a 3 hour video.

@@Jordan-xh2ro MoistCri1ikal, or Penguinz0 as he's known here on KZbin, did a video on it. i'll give you the footnotes a guy pretending to be Nintendo copyright striked 3500 videos in a single week and got them taken down. he gave up after that, since everyone thought Nintendo themselves did it, and deleted his channel. news game to light the other day that it wasn't actually Nintendo doing it, but an independent person pretending to be Nintendo i recommend you watch his videos "KZbinr gets 3,500 video takedowns in a week" and "i was wrong again" from a few days ago

I can't even... this was beautiful... Zelda games Have always held a special soft spot in my heart but not only that I adore seeing people use a game to do something creative and fun that most would never imagine. Great Job. As someone aspiring to make games one day I can only hope someone does something amazing with something I've worked on.

Damn dude… that… was amazing. Learning the fingerings and performing each one of those?! Incredibly cool, and damn impressive. It looks like you have to hit/hold a modifier key to swap note sets or something like that… and then you’ve got the stick functioning like a pitch wheel (or like a virtual trombone slide or something lol)… shit is nuts! I don’t remember exactly how it worked, but you can tell just from watching that it took some serious skill and practice to pull that off. Well done!

I think using the stick up and down lets you swap sets while moving it left and right lets you play flat and sharp? I can't quite recall, but the fact that they even made the instruments this usable to begin with is kind of crazy, I love it.
