This is considered by many to be one of their best songs written by Brian Wilson. It was recorded in 1966 on their masterpiece album Pet Sounds. Some say this is Paul McCartney's favorite song. I think they used something like 20 musicians to play all kinds of instruments to give it such a beautiful full sound.

This was one of my all time favorite love songs, and deservedly one of the top songs of the mid 1960's. I agree with you that the unique vocals of the Beach Boys was the perfect match for the lyrics. The Beach Boys have many great songs, and I hope you do more reactions of their songs.

I've seen the Beach Boys over 50 times in concert and have tickets to see them again in 2 weeks. R.I.P. to the late great lead singer Carl Wilson. Miss him.
