The investments of Chinese companies (which are financially supported by Chinese banks) are being covered by the import of products from the countries in which the investment is made. So it's an exchange.

@@flitslig It's true, the roads are sometimes poorly made(rotten), they don't do a stellar job on everything. but the real pivotal role of China is that it allows us to push back the West, whose sole aim is to keep Africa poor, to limit Africa to selling only raw products (no semi-finished products) at stupid prices, with, sometimes, these same products resold at high prices to Africans. China can help create space for another path for the continent. (not because China is generous, it is not, but by its strength at least equal to the Westerners which gives a little margin to the locals)

The west never protected Africa. The west are the main devils who have exploited Africa for their own gains for decades. By supplying them guns, military vehicles, military training and the pit them against each other. Then step in as the "savior". In exchange for the West to have full control of oil, diamonds & gold field. So they can be able to export those sources to their countries without Africa dictating them in any way. Some of African 14 countries just finished paying off slave tax debt to European countries in 2015. Since they finished, most African countries have been demanding western countries like UK, USA, Spain, Belgium, Italy & France to leave, so they can be independent but the west are refusing. This is quite understandable as the world bank loans are given with many orders, the government must cut social programmes and privatise government companies, the world bank makes the rich more powerful at the expense of the poorest people. China on the other hand does not interfere in other countries internal politics and works with others in mutually beneficial projects, of course an open government that cares about it's country and people would chose to deal with China.

Im Nigerian and can see with my eyes the results of Chinese investments here. There is a big new terminal at the airport and several railway stations with new rzil lines in Lagos. I don’t see any western investment here. But the amount we owe them is always going up! I think they fund their lousy picks for political office then add that to what we owe and also our ‚elected‘ leaders then work for them not us. We should stop shipping Oil and gas to the west and sell all we have to China and India. At least they will pay unlike the likes of chevron who just take because they funded our electoral winners.
