Okay okay this is interesting. There seems to be a sudden insert of anthropomorphic animal anime lately and I kind of like that I feel like it's a art form that has been sort of ignored in the east... yeah yeah yeah make all the furry jokes you want because of course you have the emotional maturity and creative wit as an autumn leaf breaking from the branch and falling to its beautiful death. Seriously though anthropomorphised animals it's a very valuable tool when it comes to Media entertainment and it's ripe for animation. There's a reason why it's always done in animation, if ever; it's the medium in which it's best suited for. It is to create visually appealing character designs that are significantly easier to draw and animate then humans are, there are so many bizarre combinations of categories of animal life that you'll likely create a character so much more visually striking then a boring old person that you'll see every day of your life, you can choose what level of realism you want to do, and it's just so easy to project humanity onto animals already so just drawing them in place of humans makes a weird amount of sense
