Adrian, I can't believe I still come to you for guidance, even after switching to the Africa Twin, after the Nc :) Many thanks!

Congrats on the AT purchase. I've been debating the upgrade from my 2016 NC DCT as well. Cheers from Canada. Enjoy your ride o#o

Thanks alot for this lovely vedio, i did the same to my AT , little advise : better to put some grease in the break pads contact points , also some grease ( little amount ) in calipers bolts thread . Saving both from corrosion & squeak , and make both super easy to remove next time .

After maintaining your right caliper, it is also necessary to activate the rear brakes, as they are connected with the right front caliper via Honda's Combined Braking System (CBS). If you don't, the next time you step on the foot brake lever there will be no braking force at your rear wheel.

No. The NC has never had combined braking.

What? The AT doesn’t have combined braking.

Correct the AT doesn’t have it - fortunately.

How much would that have cost at a dealer , im the same do all my own maintenance

Interesting you don’t use any copper slip or similar, over here in the U.K. it would all seize solid over winter with our road salts

From NC to AT - did the same "upgrade" few years back. The AT sure is something... but I never managed to fully appreciate the DCT. What do you think? Mine was a 2019 so I guess the DCT is a bit more refined on yours.

I’m currently sitting in a hotel in the bush (Hill End in NSW) after riding nearly 400km, with a good percent of gravel and dirt farm and mountain roads. Never once felt I needed to put it into manual. The DCT really is smart. And sooo smooth.

@@AfricaTwin-Stuff Good on you, Adrian. Enjoy DCT and NSW! :)

Looking at the thickness of the new pads, the ones you removed are barely half worn. All this recent extravagant behaviour is alarming me, after you being so careful and watching the pennies when you first got the nc, did something recently fall on your head?
