Height isn't a big factor. What is more important is inseam. You can be 6' tall with a short inseam and not be able to flat foot, or 5' 6" with a long inseam and be able to flat foot.

@@spacecoasttactical I got unlucky. Not only I am short, my legs are somewhat disproportionately short compared to my torso. I got a tenere from 95, and I had to have it lowered. I still need a shoe with a decently big sole to at least flat foot it on one side without half dismount it.

Thanks for this video. I am a shorter rider, being 5’ 6” tall, with a 28” inseam. I use the low seat in the lowest setting. I can flat foot one foot with the other on the peg. With both feet off the bike, I can almost get the balls of my feet to touch, but it’s a lot of tiptoeing. I love the Africa Twin. It is an absolute blast to ride.

I am ride africatwin adventure sport with a 28" inseam. I use 1- low seat in lowest setting. 2- lowering kit for rear suspension. 3- I increased boot high 😁. Doit like me and enjoy ✌️

For a whole year I thought I had it in the low setting! It was in the High setting! I just mess around with seat and finally I got it in the low setting. Thanks for the video!

Hi I am 6 ‘ (184 cm) and I replaced the high seat with the standard seat (not the low one) and it works for me on the higher position well.

I am 6in (198cm) and I have standard and high seat. I use daily high seat in highest position,but I fell like on an “horse” ,unbalanced and my arms are too straight so I will try in lowest position

I also bought the low seat, but I’m a lot shorter than you bud. I’m about 176cm or 5 foot 9. But I’m surprised to hear that you being over 6 foot tall are still on your toes with the high seat. On the high seat, I can put one foot flat at a time. Not both feet flat though.

My previous bike was NC750x DCT. On low seat with low settings, you'll be fine. But, might get a bit uncomfortable on bumby roads.

Try the standard one on low setting first. And maybe think about getting the low seat if you really think you're not confident on the standard seat. The standard seat is very tall.

Is it smarter to lower the seat by seat specialist? Or are the housing for seats different? I get my Africa twin now. And die the lower position on the standard is to tall for me.

I have the standard seat and also purchased the low seat. Low seat on low setting is very low. Have you tried low seat on lowest setting? Maybe pop in to your local dealer or any other dealer and try the low seat on lowest setting first. All the best 👍

@@Captain_Tipsy yes i test ride the bike.. and I tipey toe in the lowest position of the normal seat.. I think I will stick with the normal seat and go to a seat workshop for left out some Cushing.. maybe I get a few cm lower.. I got a expert here in my town.. but the question was. Got the low seat and the normal has only different Cushings? Or did Honda change the seat completely? Maybe even the housing under the Cushing. I think you can tell me that.. cause you got both of them..

Housing is the same on both seats. Low seat has less padding and also its slightly curved. So low seat on lowest setting gives plenty feet on ground.

Yes, a low seat on the lowest setting will be fine for you. Keep in mind, the tall wind shield does obstruct your view a bit, especially if it is dirty from road grime and bugs splatter.

The only thing to know about these it's that beside the bike having 2 settings to put the seat in, there are 3 types of seats, each having a 3cm height difference between them: low seat, standard or medium, and low. ✌🏼 I really need to buy a high seat, I'm 201cm tall and bought the bike with medium seat.. :( anyone shipping to Romania? 😁
