He was there for 4 years but he still can't get over how beautiful the city is, he says it's like another country entirely, a first world country at that lol. And the nature... Spectacular! Says Cape Town was once submerged in ocean thousands of years ago and all that was visible was Table Mountain... When you come to South Africa you will need weeks to see everything.. even us as South Africans still experience places for the 1st time just because of how much we have to offer.. from our game in Limpopo to our warm beaches in Durban, to the cold waters and breathtaking scenery of the Western Cape.. the drive from Johannesburg to the Western Cape is a MUST because with a flight you will miss the most beautiful sights that SA has to offer. It's about 1000km to drive and will take you about 14-16hrs, but it is sooooo worth it.. that way you get to see a bit of everything.. cities like JHB and PTA is 35min apart, Durban is about 6hrs drive from JHB. So it depends on how far you want to go but a road trip from one place to another is the best. Our Knysna forest is also a must visit in my opinion. You need at least 2 weeks in the Western Cape but a week in each of the other cities is enough to experience it properly.

You guys are amazing. I am blessed to have been born in Cape Town, South Africa. I think the original poster doesn't do these cities justice because it is a snapshot of What these cities offer. Cape Town offers beaches, views, and different sceneries within a 2-hour drive you can go to a semi-desert, a beach, a forest, a mountain a valley, Metropolis, farmland, etc. Hence the growing Film industry (many international movies and series are filmed here) Then you have the rich culture of the land, the history, and then you get to the food, oh my God, the food, it is the most eclectic blend and fusion (you will hear this often) of so many cultures. Cape Town was the landing port back in the day for slavers, traders and although many people moved to the central regions, many stayed at the point of origin, thus began centuries of blending of cultures and DNA. You will have heard of Coloreds. Even some Coloreds do not like to be called that but it is not quite the dirty word it is in USA. I myself identify as colored/malay/Indian. Which makes me colored by default. We are often condemned as not having a identified culture, which is kind of true but we created our own. I am not sure if you still intend visiting or have done so but you will have a blast. Also some people have made it sound that Loadshedding is a part of the culture of South Africa, I call BS, yes we have had to live with it for years, but there is no cultural reason for it other than lack of planning,ineptitude and corruption and that has led to the loadshedding. Can it be dangerous, YES, a resounding YES, unless you follow a set plan, only travel to places in a tour group or led by a reputable tour guide or if you know people here. The hotels will also be able to help you with where to go or not. Hope you channels goes as far as you hope and pray it does. PS, DO not use Taxis (mini bus variety), Sedan Taxis or Uber Yes, Mini bus taxis, NO!!!! I am Muslim and don't drink, although I dont judge, along with the food, I believe the wines are good too.

I remember moving to the states pre-internet, trying to convince my classmates that in Africa I lived in a regular house with regular everyday things but they wouldn't believe me. I got tired!! I just started saying we walk naked and hunt animals with spears and arrows. They believed that part lol...

I am from Nigeria, but there's no place like Cape Town South Africa. It is an enchanting city, very addictive with so much beauty. And it's home to one of the most beautiful mountains in the world.....the table mountain. Ubiquitous from every part of the city. Oh and you get to visit Robben Island with it's Nelson Mandela history. Home to one of the most beautiful shopping malls.....Canal Works. You can even see the Atlantic and Indian Ocean meet with different colours. Infact It has everything. If you ever visit, you will be going again and again. Yea, it's that beautiful. My number 1 holiday destination. I recommend this city. The only downside........the people are not so warm. Not so friendly, but it takes nothing away from the city. Perhaps the history of South affects them so i can understand. Unlike other holiday destinations in Africa. The warmness of the people thrumps South Africans. (Don't let that dampen you though.) 👍🏾👍🏾🇳🇬🇳🇬

"We love our swamps" hahaha never laughed so hard lol! Yes some parts of Nairobi has that Dallas effect you talk about in fact any area in NBO called Kilimani or Milimani means it was built on a hill Mlima meaning hill in Kiswahili. I guess in part Nairobi being one of the 4 United Nations HQS in the world brought with it a huge expat community which can in part explain the international appeal. Most major world organisation's especially International Development related ones have their Africa or regional HQs in Nairobi. I guess if you want a feel of the day to day life before visiting watch a few African lifestyle vloggers based in Africa. If you are interested I can drop a few channel names let me know.

Even when they come they think like this, I remember being the only local guest at a Safari lodge in Kruger and all the Americans asked me where I learned to speak English and where I bought my Western clothes. I’m native South African and I was like this is crap😅 money can’t buy you brains 😂

Ghana is a good place to start, it is an entry point and they have a ceremony where African expatriates can enter through the doors slaves left from... it is considered a rebirth. It is very safe and family friendly, there are also alot of Americans living there.

Hey, Demochetts, It's nice to learn that you enjoy Africa the Motherland. I suggest you travel to South Africa on your first visit. Johannesburg is the CITY of Africa. You can then visit Cape Town and Durban. You will not be disappointed. Hook up with "The Real South Africa", Mark and Tasha Blanton are the owners and they do a fantastic job.

What's the best transportation to get between the cities?
@Six6T2 жыл бұрын
@@TheDemouchetsREACT so we have airports in every province and you get to the different cities by plane depending on the distance... the bus is another alternative if you crossing provinces. But if you're in one province you can go through that province's cities using a car or train or bus or uber. Also it's not a huge country so skipping provinces is never more than a 2 hour flight

As a Nigerian I have recommended Cape Town in SA. On the East Africa, Kenya...the coastal city of Mombasa. Kenyan wildlife is good for you. From West Africa pls try Ghana. The point of no return Elmina Castle etc. It's a beautiful place with so much history. The warmest people on planet earth/Africans are found in Nigeria. It's something you need to experience. 🇳🇬🇳🇬👍🏾👍🏾
