It is unfortunate that we do not understand our culture and traditional structures. Being made a Chief does not make you royal. A chief is a position sometimes hereditary sometimes bestowed upon you either as an honourary title or because you have been selected, appointed due to what should be exceptional characteristics. You are conflating Kingship (in Akan the role of a true Omanhene - just about all ethnic groups in Ghana have an equivalent) with that of a chief. That said this gentleman is very much worthy of his enstoolment as he has become part of us (granted he, his ancestors may have been forcefully estranged).
