@santosrubio6367 Жыл бұрын

RESPECT is the key word. My neighbors are people from the US, when my wife and I go to our hometown for vacations, we usually bring some stuff to them, we appreciate people, no matter where they´re from. We are just people living under the same sun, of course you´ll see bad things in the country, same as everywhere but, good things always will be better. Enjoy your life down here and try to learn as much as you can from the locals, even if it means to try things you wouldnt even think of doing before you came here, we appreciate the effort. That means food, visiting places and just a friendly "Buenos días, buenas noches" RESPECT.

Dara's part, loved it--and the guaranteed gift of her giving her daughter fluency in another language. My kids are now grown, and both were in a Spanish-immersion program from kindergarten on in our local public school system (in Maryland--high demand and they lucked out in the "lottery"--more school systems should offer this). Not as good as actual immersion but a really good start. My 23-year-old daughter now says in her mind, one of the overall best parenting decisions we made was doing that, that it's helped her so much; she now lives & works in Los Angeles. (Haha, I resisted the urge to ask about other parenting decisions, counted my blessings with one!) I think language fluency is one of the most difficult things to make up for later, though I keep trying with myself....

Thank you for sharing all this information about Mexico and teaching the world that it’s not a horrible place as it shows in the news. One this as an immigrant myself. When my family took me to the US I had a huge culture shock. Even Mexican kids used to make fun of me or it felt like I didn’t belong sometimes. What I’m saying is that those things happen anywhere when you move from one country to another. I encounter the same thing now when I go to Mexico because I Don’t “look or act Mexican”

Dating in Monterrey is not easy, even for other Mexicans. They're a very conservative society and a lot of their values are based on social status. Dating in Mexico City is a totally different experience. It's more like dating in NYC, LA, Toronto or Chicago.

That unfortunate dating experience is very middle upper and upper class provincial. Individuals from those social groups moving to Mexico City say they experience a freedom they did not imagine in their towns. Back in the 80's and 90's, when the Riviera Maya was taking off, middle class Mexicans from all over the country found job opportunities there. Some of my friends living there told me they felt free to date and partner whoever they wanted without those social, family limitations.

I know with your travels, y’all are looking for a place to call home but I think you found it. A looong time ago lol. Your hearts are there, community is there and no matter where in the world you go, y’all are always drawn back to Mexico. Is Mexico endgame for the Yarbros? 🤔

Mexico is convenient but no it's not endgame for us.
