When you say "The Zulu king of South Africa", you are stating that the country of South Africa has a king ruling over it, and that king is a Zulu. This is not true, South Africa has a president, and not a king. That president is selected by the party that can command a majority of the votes in parliament.. The correct English description of the king in question, is that "he is the king of the Zulu of South Africa". He, for example, is not the king of the Venda, Swati, Xhosa, KhoiSan, Suthu, Tswana etc... He is king of only the Zulu.

It's a fallacy perpetuated to push the 'bantu migration ' rhetoric in order to try validate the theory of Southern Africa being void of Black people when colonisation occured. And, therefore dismissing Black people's claim to South African land. There were Black people in South Africa for 1000s of years before even white people could think of travel. The Bantu migration was not the first migration and it doesn't account for the origin of Black South Africans.
