There's often a comparison in culture between South Africa and the United States. SA is considered a developing country while the US is seen as a developed one. The belief is that America is always ahead of SA on some aspects, but this is not always the case. The comparison often ranges from technology, food, hospitality, weather, etc.. Naledi Moleo unpacks the differences and some similarities with language and culture lecturer Dr Sipho Sithole and two of his American students Anastasia Taylor and Tatiana Allen.
Tune into Newzroom Afrika DStv channel 405 for more.

The lady in white also has such a South African look, she is even educating the journalist most of whom are completely aloof. They are both so grounded. Thank you also to sis Velile who is doing a good job showcasing our country. She is the Dr's wife and has her own lifestyle channel showcasing rural South Africa like youve never seen.

There is a lot to learn about African American culture especially the similarities in how black people lived during slavery and all the movements that were created to break free from that bondage, a bit similar to the movements made during apartheid for black people to be free from injustices. Most Africans think they can't learn anything from African American culture because of the immorality that is popularised in the media, however that is just a small portion of African American culture, just look at these two well spoken African American ladies taking an interest in African culture.

@@sikabophaIt's general knowledge that African Americans are the descendants of West African slaves that were shipped to America. Not a single South African tribe was involved in the trans atlantic slave trade, so it's impossible that they could be of Zulu descent. I didn't have to know them to come to that conclusion, I just used my critical thinking, something you clearly lack.

it's not even a pure african language and has different dialetcts .Its mostly influenced by arabic and was used as a langauge of trade initially from dar esselam between the native east africans and as the arabs traded further is strated encorporating other east african languages ans it varies in dialect according to region just like zulu changed during the expansion project of shaka when he wanted to expand the zulu nation and whe mzilikazi was send on a mition those zulus who ended in zimbabwe are today classified as ndebele aas when zimabwe became and official country o rhdhesia and officially monarchy they could not continue to sa they are zulu and had broken of from the mother body because distance and went with ndebele wich was intially a word used to insult the zulu who were invading sotho areas under mzilikazi in Lesotho and later the different clan collonially grouped by the europenas since they were independent bodies of clan without a central figured just similar dialects also reffered the zulus who were under mzilikazi ndebele/matebele.Sobhuza a zulu invader who denounced the zulu thrown with concincing from the british mostly after shakas death and the british established a for and offered the protection with passisng by mozanbique adapted some ndau tsonag dialect but kept most the zulu dialect and soshanganna and zwangendabaleft if different direction sosahngaan a zulu general was ent to mozambique and zwangendaba left via zambia malawi and thy are more of a hybreed nation of invaded people of different ethnic groups. The initial idelogy and training came from shaka.Iand people must stop reading colonially distorted Zulu history and go on social platforms and show their arroagance and tribal attitude.Nobody is bothering People I dont see Zulu people commenting on other people walls what they are doing .And why would you want to know a languge youd dont know wich is not south african or taught in south africa.Apartheid damaged South africans and tribalism istaught from home and people are. This ladies are black ladies learning and african language embracing an african culture and some comments with tribal hate and prejiduce you are defeating the cause.Would South Africa ever have obatained independence if the zulu nation did not form the anc led by the first black lawyer in South africa Prixley Ka Seme .An Uncle to Zulu Prince Mangosuthi and senior Leader and chief of the zulu clan The Buthelezi and all Buthelezi's werever they find themselves and another uncle of His BECAME THE FIRST ELECTED president OF THE ANC John L.Dube .The Zulu being the most resistand of all tribes and never have given in to eurpoean supremacy until final colonisation by britain after Dingaan slaughtered the bOERS WHO WERE SEEKING REFUGE ESCAPING BRITISH DOMINANCE OF THE CAPE.Zulu histoty has a structure. And the Zulu monarch has always extende it's helpin helping other tribes negotiated their indepence in the moder times.Shobhuza asked the royal court for assitance and the gave him Prixley Ka Seme and WHEN THE bapedi also wanted to negotiate wih e british in modern times they sent envoy to go and get advise from the Zulu King at the time. The Zulu were the first who were supposed to be and independent country but it was going to impact the south african economy and shave a social impact other people where not aware that they were zulu.Even Mangosutho has stated alot of Zulu chiefss who denounce dthe Zulu thrown promisde independence and ttle by the British .The Zulu King ounce initiated for honary reason and land claim for ancient zulu land under the time of shaka and tribes and clans who were yieding to him and he was requested by the anc and south african gorvent .I dont know how it went .The land streched from parts of southern mzambique mpumalanga touching paerts of swaziland and the tribes there in the frees-state and northern eastern cape and the tribes residing there
