I have a former male friend (who I tried to date)... who was hyping up The Gambia. We were hanging out one day and I myself have heightened spiritual abilities but while hanging out he gave me a certain drink...and he called it by the wrong name. The name was actually a water spirit that I wasn’t initially familiar with by name.... he began talking about The Gambia and in that conversation somehow my spirit was disturbed in the interaction. The whole conversation went left and I ended up leaving... my spirit went into FULL warrior mode while there. I was headed back to another state. So I had a long drive... As I drove on the highway, I had a SHARP vision of the truck turning over in front of me due to the heavy rain and me not being able to make it around this truck without colliding. After having this vision, I decided to pull over and take a 30 min nap because I was tired. When I got back on the highway.... the same truck I saw was overturned on the side of the highway in the same manner I envisioned when it was driving in front of me. I barely missed that attack that would have taken my life. Do not ignore your spirit when it tells you to move accordingly

As a black man from the continent so-called Africa. The biblical promised land. Specifically from cameroon. I am DISAPPOINTED in what our brothers and sisters in Gambia have done to our black family in the diaspora. As a cameroonian. I believe African Americans should have free and automatic citizenship to go and become citizens in any country in the biblical promised land. Africa. I believe that our people should be welcomed home to the continent, reconnect with their roots, and more. They should live in the continent so-called Africa with peace and joy. This news is heart breaking. The Gambia needs to fix whatever issues they have. Because as a fellow black man In Africa. In cameroon. I am very disappointed and at a lost for words. Africa is a massive continent. Please, my diaspora, black people in the USA, South america, carribians, islands, and mor3. Please don't take these things happening in the Gambia to be how we blacks in Africa see you. We blacks in Africa love you diaspora blacks. We welcome you home, truly to visit the continent. I wonder why a lot of these women choose the Gambia. When it comes to the Gambia, this issue is not isolated to black women. White Europeans women have experienced this for years in the Gambia. Gambia is a small poor country with tourism as one of its important sectors. This is where the bumpsters come in. The bumpsters are young men looking for a single female tourist (white and black) to provide service to for cash and a ticket out of the Gambia. They are very persistent. If you didn't do your homework and move to the Gambia, you will most likely fall prey to them. Africa is a complex continent. Even we who are from there, stay away from certain things and places. For those of us who left the continent, we don't eat from certain relatives' houses. We move with caution. Foreigners moving to Africa should be very cautious and know your country embassy if one is in that country. Establish relationships with people in the community you are living in. Those relationships could save you from falling for the wrong individual.

@@sarafinalove5330 Lack of knowledge is the reason why most of you have it rough in Africa. Most of you are programmed to think that Africa is some homogenous country. In reality it's a massive continent just like Asia with different countries. The Gambia & Morocco are more different to each other than Mexico is different to Canada despite both being in the same continent. The same way Pakistan is totally different to Japan despite both being Asian countries. Once you grasp this fact about Africa then you'd be in a much safer position traveling to Africa & even moving. You'd know you are much safer moving to Namibia, Botswana, Mauritius or Seychelles than Gambia, Somalia or Sudan which is basic common sense. You'd also know within these African countries there are different cities some more dangerous and some safer. So while moving to South Africa you'd avoid big cities like Joburg, Cape town & Durban, move to Smaller cities like Port Elizabeth, Pretoria or Bloemfontein. And you will truly enjoy living in Africa.

As a Gambian, this really breaks my heart. My condolences to their families. May their souls rest in eternal peace. Gambia is the smallest country in Africa. Things like this do happen, but rarely. When they do, they are talked about by everyone because the country is so small and news travel fast. Very sad. You can not go to the Gambia or any African country, especially as a single person (man/woman), and not form or join a community. Even introducing yourself to the neighbours is a must. In the West, people are accustomed to minding their business or not even knowing their neighbours. It is totally different in Africa, especially Gambia, because your community is your protection. They look out for you and your property in very special circumstances. I can not emphasize this enough. You cannot isolate yourself like in the West or make no attempt to connect with the locals especially your neighbours, because they could be the ones coming to your aid when needed or when they see burglars attempting to enter your house. Even connecting with the local shops and street petty traders, especially those who work 24 hours, is a must, as they see and hear everything. Every time I buy land or property in the Gambia, I always make a concerted effort to introduce myself to the neighbours and local traders. If you don't, they will view you as stuck up and not engage. This is so sad. May their souls RIP.

However, some of y'all gotta get out of this mindset that we need to go back to Africa geograpically and live there to somehow find ourselves.. We have a rich history and culture right here! We don't need to live in Africa to have knowledge of self or self-love. Make those connects if you need to, but not at the expense of your safety. Well said. 'All blacks must go back to Africa' is a pan Africanist con game played every few decades and generations when certain 'black' leaders and elites join forces to change 'black' peoples' status, ancestry and claims to land and other inheritances. And the 'black' community falls for it every time. The Africans know it is a scam so some of them will blatantly take gullible wanna be Africans for a nice and profitable ride.

What I'm about to say, isn't to hurt anyone, but it has to be said. Here you are going to a place, with more resources than the native people will ever see, dating men you know nothing about their behavior in that culture. No matter where I go, I research and still I don't know the enter workings of that community. Now your a single women with no connection to anyone, family million of mile away and it's not just the women, it's the passport bros experiencing the same things, a stranger, in a strange land, vulnerable to anyone and anything and some have paid with their life. I see no common sense being used, women have always been and always will be an easy target and to travel alone and move alone to a place is dangerous, no matter where it is, but these women moved to impoverished places with resources that look like to the natives, to be millionaires, I'm sure there is jealousy. What gets me is all theses FBA women living there and no one knew the other, why aren't you coming together to share information, living in proximity to each other, here's where sisterhood should be applied, not that toxic crap on the internet. It is so important for Black women from the West to understand that individualism is not a thing anywhere in Africa. It is also important to not only have a couple of solid friends from the diaspora, but it is imperative that you cultivate relationships with the local women who are of your socio-economic status. It may sound elitist, but it is necessary because those women will help you understand societal norms, the culture as well as the language. If you're single and dating, date how you date in the West. You're most likely not entertaining young boys who don't have their own homes and vehicles, so don't do it here in Africa! Lastly, stop playing around with African spiritualism. You people don't know what you're exposing yourselves to when you're going to shrines with people you don't know, who speak languages you don't understand. Be careful and use common sense. Irrespective of how you feel about Africa, there is a lot you do not know. Sit down, shut up, and listen to those who have paved the way for you in terms of repatriation.

This is heartbreaking 😢. I’m so glad that I woke up from the fantasy of going “home” to Africa. I started doing my genealogy working outward from my parents all the way to my 6th great grandparents. My ancestors are Indigenous Americans of the Wampanoag/Chata. America is the beautiful land of my ancestors - the Northeast woodlands and the Deep South.

This is sad and the government of Gambia need to get to the bottom of this, this is unstable. Lets not paint the whole continent with a brush of what is happening in Gambia.

I'm sorry to say but, personally I wouldn't get involved with a woman who sees visions and dreams. I used to date one until she told me she had seen me paralysed and constantly tried to convince me that I will get paralysed. Also, she used to fight neighbouring women, who she had seen in dreams trying to befriend me and I thought I could get in trouble over these dreams altogether. In the end I just couldn't take it and decided to leave her alone. If had believed her dreams they then could have come true but I refused to believe them.

There are different spiritual living, The one that is from the true God will quietly pray for God to expose and destroy evil not on media bashing people and youvdo not 16:53 16:53 have the strong protecting power. They will give you a knock out blow and stay away from people talking about ancestors all the time. They cannot fight for anyone, they are dead and waiting for judgment too

I had had an aunt seeing things. All of us were devils. Anja said she was eating 4 samouussas and looked at it a and saw demons looking at her in 2 samosas. Went to the owner and said that they were trying to poison her. Hm.

The dreams of past life.. let’s be real. Who believes anyone present in this life and has lived in past life unless… you’re part of the occult .. or believe in superstition and other things that the Bible warns us to not be part of . There is evil ofcourse And we have to be 100% connected to God and ONLY God.. so the fangs of the devil / occult/ witchcraft doesn’t have access to you. It’s the last days and the devil and his imps know they have short time and have have stepped up 1000% on these antics ..

There's over more than 50 different countries you may visit, invest, stay, and reconnect with our ancestors, traditions, and more. As a cameroonian. I am deeply disappointed. The, Gambia does not speak for all of Africa continent.

It’s heartbreaking that women are killed by males who they love and help. I will never forget the beautiful East African Immigrant woman who moved to Italy alone to start a super successful business and one day……. A fellow immigrant male arrived … she gave him a place to sleep and food to eat and she even hired him… then he slaughtered her. In Italy. It’s mad. It’s sick. It’s always the ones who are close to you and who you give to and help
