There's something I don't get about some Africans. Some Africans want you to go to their country but don't want people to speak the truth about their country. Why would you want someone to go to your country without Full disclosure? Do you want to deceive people into visiting your country? Wouldn't that make many people dissatisfied? We know America has many problems. We know other countries in the West have problems. I personally have no trouble with people speaking poorly about the West. I don't really care. When you see someone speak about African countries, allow the conversation to be on that. Don't try to divert the conversation to how other non-African countries are bad too. Other countries aren't the topic of the conversation. If you are so sensitive about hearing negative things about your country, stop inviting people over. Quite honestly, I believe many Africans are ashamed of their country. I believe many Africans attach their self-esteem to their country. Many Africans say they want their country to be better. How can your country be better unless more people speak about the very bad things in it? I believe more people would visit Africa if people stopped lying about how Africa is. Let people talk about what is positive and negative in African countries. Let people know what to expect other than leaving them in the dark. Stop lying to foreigners and let people speak about the negatives in your country. If they visit your country and find out you left out a lot of information, what do you think many people are going to do? They are going to tell others. Many places in Africa aren't for beginners. It is better if you have contacts in Africa. I wouldn't advise anyone to roam around Africa without knowing what they are doing.

I love Africa and her people and I have been to the continent but the reality is my family has been in the Ames before it became America. I tell people that I am before 13 Colony America. Also, being black in America, we have many different ethnic groups and cultures, we may be black but even here, we are not the same people or even the same ethnicity. So is there anything wrong with people who say they are not African? I think it is wrong to say that all African people have a disdain for us black people because that is simply not true, we have good and bad in every group of people. I believe Trick Daddy may be a Gullah Geechee descendant, as I am too on my maternal grandfather and my paternal side and even though we do have some traditions that stuck with us from Africa, it became a new culture over how many centuries that our ancestors been here. I love knowing that my ancestors did hail from Africa but at the same time, I am a black American because that relationship with Africa has been lost since the 1600’s if not before, so I am simply American but not an African American because I didn’t immigrate here. Those who immigrate here from Africa are now African Americans, we are just black Americans. We also have to think about how diverse our ancestry is being a black American, due to our history, we are our own group of people, black Americans are an ethnogenesis.
