African Elephant Habitat & Sand River | African Wildlife Park | Speed Build | Planet Zoo | Inama Zoo | Ep. 2 | Jeep Safari Ride | Speedbuild | Sandbox Mode | In this episode, we build the African Elephant habitat area which is the first animal we add to Inama Zoo. The river is inspired by the African Sand River you can find it the Kruger National Park in South Africa. We will be using a lot of inspiration for this zoo of the Kruger National Park, but we obviously will also use other areas in Africa to make a beautiful Wildlife Park from Inama Zoo. I hope you guys enjoy this new episode. Make sure to check out my KZbin schedule on my website for next month's upload schedule. Much love, DeLady

Maybe you could do the area directly around the “dome” as an “inner” habitat. So the guests can see the smaller animals up close and have the larger animals further into the savannah!

Elephants in captivity don't move in group because of the lack of predators and relative safety. They become much more stressed from becoming separated from family, as they create lifelong bonds. Thank you for showing us these wonderful creations!

Hey! Loved the video, as always ❤ To do a more realistic savana, the herbivores would keep their distance from predators, so I don't know if doing one big habitat for all the animals is the most realistic option. But in the end, it is your zoo and a peacefull savana where everyone loves each other sounds great as well hahaha. And take good care of youself girl, you deserve it! 😘

Thank you so much Amanda ♥ If only the animals would really stay as a group more it would make a bit more sense in the game.. but seeing the Elephants walking just everywhere in the whole area, makes it probably super weird to have a lion for example walking next to a zebra.. lol.. So dont think I have another choice by seperating the animals haha

If you decide you need some barriers, disney's animal kingdom does an excellent job on their safari making it seem like all of the animals are together through visual illusions and clever landscaping. Highly recommend it if you are looking for inspiration.

Paulsley made a truly massive safari area in a zoo of his called Pulchra Sanctuary. He ended up making it several different habitats with null barriers between them (the animals couldn't escape though) and he put a big staff facilities area in the middle of it. Doing it like that made it so all the stuff they needed was nearby. (He might have also marooned workers out there but I can't remember for sure.

Hiya! On the Safari I went on in South Africa, they had the lions separate from the other animals. The guide said this was because the lions will just kill everything, even if they aren't hungry. So if you wanted it to be more realistic, I would suggest separating out the predators from the prey. But I suppose to be more realistic to an actual wildlife reserve, not a Safari, then you could mix them together. Depends what you're going for!!

I think you'll just have to split up the area with fences and put the herd animals like zebras, waterbuffalo, etc. together with a maximum of 2 or 3 species per habitat. I also don't think it's necessary to make the boundaries look natural, because in real life reserves have fences too.

I've just watched ep 3 before this so I know you've just created a waterfall and canyon (not that making another waterfall would deter you if you wanted!) Would it be possible to make a larger amount of water at the top of the waterfall so the cliff/waterfall edge becomes a natural barrier for a habitat? I just think it would look pretty cool. Also I'm loving the river you made!!! Can't wait to see what you'll do next ^_^

My theory on the Giant Savanaha enclosure was to have a river running through multiple enclosures but close each section off and hide fencing/glass walls etc with null fencing rocks, copse of trees etc. Give the illusion that it is one big enclosure even if the track goes through rocks and gate is hidden underneath. I will admit am not a fan of 4x4 ride. A gondola ride would then go over top and it would appear from the air to be one big exhibit... or a train ride raised up just high enough to stop animals escaping between exhibits.

I think I saw someone use a big sheet of flat glass as a water surrogate while terraining, so they could adjust the height of the water over the area nicely! It's too bad you can't make big areas of Really Tall Grass that feather into shorter areas better, I mean maybe you could if you used the grasses the same way you might use the rocks in big chunks, but I don't know if the animals would traverse it well.

I would turn off animals fighting but put enrichment items in different areas so that the prey animals stay away from the predatory animals. (In one habitat)

I have done this to great effect in my African wetlands Habitat. It works great, but also the times where they do intermingle seems natural. I love it.

Maybe you could separate the predators from the prey with a natural mountain range type thing???

Gotta ask, hoping you can answer. is there a trick to you being able to use the fine movement controls when you are moving more than one wall at a time? I press X on objects after the first one I place and it just doesnt work at all. is there a reason that works for you? I've seen it work in your videos.
