It does trigger your own memories, and the chorus is an imprint in your head. You said it perfectly. Really good reaction lady.🌹

I loved this song because it is beautiful in a melancholy way. Also, it triggers memories from my childhood. I know that this song is about the decline of industry in northern England, but the same thing happened in parts of the northern USA, especially in the area known as the "Rustbelt' ranging from Pennsylvania across the Great Lakes region and over to St. Louis. This area was devastated as various industries, notably steel production and the auto industry, reduced and many jobs went out of the country. After that, many families moved out to the Southern and Western USA to find work.

The song is a tribute a British folk singer Nick Drake, who died of a drug overdose almost 50 years ago. The immediate back drop is the economic decline of northern towns in the UK during the ‘80s. If you didn’t grow up and spend multiple long winters in a northern town, then you don’t get this song.

Great reaction! That chorus hooks you and, when you don't expect it, will pop up in your head.

It was supposed to be a tribute song but to me it just feels like Nostalgia in music form.
