I know it can be daunting and confusing but if you take the time to learn how to navigate the system, you will be able to use any metro system in the world easily. Its kind of the same in Paris, London, New York, Singapore, Hong Kong, Japan, Korea and China. The way navigation in the system is designed is quite generic. I never have a problem to use these systems when I am in Singapore or London.

The easiest way to get around is to show the name of the place you want to go, someone would be of help to show you how to go about buying the tickets from the machine. There is the information counter at every station, just show the place and ask them how to use the machine to buy tickets. Anywhere else, you would find locals would be conversely helpful otherwise you could be bumping into immigrants who sometimes couldn't converse fluently that'd would render you into more confusion.😅

Not all local citizens, even the Klang valley residents hv chance to use the metro transport on regular basis. Thru this video, this dude thru serving this female continental tourist, is also indirectly educating the general public of how to use the metro transport.

Hi. Welcome to Malaysia. Do take note on escalators, the public community would stand on the left and let people in rush on the right side. For ease of use, one need to look at the network map and which system to use and which station to interchange etc before boarding to avoid confusion and frustration.

Most public transport in Malaysia always filled by foreign immigrants, illegal immigrants, foreign students, foreigners who come here on tour visa but start working here. Nothing to be surprised to find South Asians, others from South East Asian countries, Indochinese, from China, Africans, Arabs, Rohingya refugees, Russians, East Europeans, South Americans and lots of foreigners from central Asia. Without foreigners, public transport in Malaysia will be bankrupt. The reason why Malaysians prefer to drive because public transport is not as good as in Singapore or Japan..
