HBCUs never discriminate. White people are allowed to attend, but because of classic American racial tension most white people don't. However, the white people that do ALWAYS have a great and embracing experience. It really shapes their whole lives! I absolutely love the cultural hold we have on people! 😆

There were several white students at my HBCU and I literally asked them what made them choose the school. They told me they received minority scholarships. This was in 2000 so not sure if there's been change.

@@mahoganyhoney unfortunately it has changed….that was what the Affirmative Action was for….it didn’t just affect P.O.C and blacks….it also Legacy admissions(meaning your parents/or family all attended the university). HBCU DO hold themselves to a higher standard though so the chances of them rejection based on race would be ironic.

This is Black American style. Almost all Black American parades have dancing. I live in Chicago South Side and we have had the Bud Billiken parade for the children of the Black community since 1929, and our children from all parts of Chicago get a chance to attend. Most of the children of our elementary, and high schools, and children's programs practice their marching band and dance routines all year, to show them at the Bud Billiken Parade.

Thanks for watching HBCU bands! You are the only person to do this. Black universities have never discriminated against anyone. They were built because for a long time, white American people banned black people from attending white schools. So blacks built their own schools and wonderful culture. ...Nothing is better than HBCU bands. Black colleges have a unique history, and their bands created the phenomenon of halftime shows. Except, HBCU bands do it with soulful music and dancing.

Anyone of any ethnicity can go to a HBCU. They are majority Black. HBCUs exist because there were times where Black people were not permitted to attend the same universities as White people. Nothing wrong with saying beautiful ladies. BC-U over FAMU? FAMU & BC-U are rival schools, they play against each other every year in the Florida Classic. They play the Saturday before Thanksgiving. The game is currently held in Orlando, Florida at the Citrus Bowl. The D1-FCS season is one game shorter than the D1-FBS so their rivalry weekend is the week before Thanksgiving.

HBCU’s were formed because blacks, mainly in the South weren’t allowed to enter White Universities. That’s why you see most, not all, HBCU’s located in the South. Cheney University, University of the District of Columbia, Lincoln University and Wilberforce University and Howard University. Though located what is considered “Below the Mason-Dixon Line(South) the University of the District of Columbia and Howard are Considered “Northern” HBCU’s like the other three which are located in Pennsylvania (2) and Ohio(1) New Jersey has or had 1 HBCU to my Knowledge and New York none. But they both had what is called PBI’s(Primarily Black Institutions) neither HBCU’s or PBI’s ever restricted anyone due to their Race. If you go back in History, that’s an African trait. Whether it was West Africa, Central Africa, East Africa, North or South Africa, the people were welcoming and friendly, whether Egypt, South Africa our people were always welcoming strangers. And then came the Arab invasions, the Greek Invasions, the Roman Invasions to the Portuguese invasion that led to the African Slave Trade to the “Four Corners of the Earth”.
