If I was a feminist I would argue that this show is a prime example of how mainstream media often perpetuates a patriarchal perspective by objectifying women and positioning them as passive objects of male desire. I would view a dating show like this as an example of the male gaze in action, where women are reduced to objects to be looked at and judged based on their physical attractiveness.
