I stretch my hair like this and take it out 2 days later, and then keep threading it and detangle 2 more times a week and oil my scalp! My hair gets so silky and straight and easier to manage I have 4c coarse hair so it helps 😊

Lol, with practice it get me better. I think that’s why our hair was flourishing when we were kids. My mom did this to my hair every week, and would only change it up on Friday for church.

I used to STAN the blueberry bliss leave-in...don't know why i stopped using! Your hair looks great and I love african threading as well (diy over here too ❤). I have 13 braids (i braid first amd then i african thread the braids). I do it more for protective styling as i leave it for a gpod while!

To avoid the pain try securing the base with a hair elastic. You can control the tension better and the elastic will be more flexible than threading from the root.

For whatever reason, when I tried to take down an African thread, It gets stuck at the roots and I have to gently pull my hair out of it, it it makes sense.

I get what you’re saying, when your start twisting, how many times do you wrap around it? A recommendation when you’re taking it out, is taking your time and not pull too hard to rip the thread, that so m should help in making it easier

It’s the same texture as sewing thread for weaves. When you go the store, you’ll ask for thread for a sow-in.

I prefer to do after washing, it’s easier to comb and more easier to get my hair stretched.

I use the weaving thread that’s use for sow-ins. You should be able to find it at your local beauty supply store. At the end of the video I show you how I take it out. You pull off the knot you do at the end the hair, then you just unravel from them.

Thank you! ☺️ With African threading, it’s all about the method you use before actually threading. That’s why I do my leave-in, cream, and oil before, that’s way when I thread up my hair, it’s protected underneath. Also, to better assist how does your process go and do you thread all the way your hair?

So I would usually oil my hair and braid it all the way to the end. I would them read it at night and take it out in the morning

@@amakutin6330 yeah, as we’ve talked about before oil is a just sealant abs not a moisturizer. My advice would be making sure your hair is moistures first, and when you’re threading your hair, make sure the thread is covering as much of your hair as possible.

I pulled on the knot at the end to loosen the thread, then you can unravel easily.

I’m actually twisting my hand to get the thread around it. I don’t twist the hair. When you keep your hand still, it’s hard sometimes to get the thread around, so by twisting your hand it makes the whole process easier.
