Eikös nuo ole turhan hienot vaatteet maatöihin.

Kiitos. Olen tottunut pukea hienosti aina. Olen semonen ihminen joka ei anna vaatteet olla kaapissa. Sää oli todella kaunis.

I think it's been more than 60 years since the last time I tried to milk a cow. I was a small child. I am not sure your comment about never forgetting applies to me in this specific case. Remembering is not always exactly the same as being able, since some skills need some practice to stay and others even a lot of practice.

That is a very long time. Practice makes perfect. So the skill has been forgotten due to circumstances.

@@Ilona_Ke We all can not hope to achieve perfection even by practice. But also rarely need to actually perfect. Perfection sounds as a great goal, but isn't so important in real life. Though milking cows might be an exception to that. The first thing that I thought after I saw your comment was my long history of trying to become better in golf. There is danger that I would learn a perfect golf swing . What have learned, and can still learn, that is enough for me to make the game enjoyable. Cycling, skiing, skating would be better examples since all those I have learned about 60 years ago.

@@Ilona_Ke I did notice your emphasis on memories. This makes me ask: Have you experienced people with memory sicknesses? As a child I had the feeling that I could remember everything that had happened to me. Later in my life I started to doubt that and learn better explanations and models of how our memory actually works. I find value in remembering many things, since they help me to recall experiences which have emotional and other value to me. They also are the foundation for experience and understanding. Knowledge and cognitive skills depend on them. Memories of many experiences support reasoning and making judgements. Of course, it's not only personal experience that matters. We have this extended memory, human culture, with all kinds or more or less reliable and accurate sources of memories: books and all other media, and even other people.

Yes i do. Memory sickness is the worst one. Creating life memories for other people or coming generations is what i love doing. This is when my memory is still intact. I am humbled to share my experiences and encourage someone. No one is perfect. Together we create a beautiful society.

@@Ilona_Ke I agree, memory sickness can become terrifyingly difficult for the person and others around the patient. I have known people who have suffered from it. Individual cases have been extremely different. It can lead into so different changes in the patients personality and abilities. It's also miserable from that perspective that often their children will start to expect similar fate to themselves and that deep worry can continue throughout their lives.

@@Ilona_Ke I don't know why you like creative life memories for other people, but I recognize why such sharing is valuable - at least from my personal perspective. Sharing the experiences with other helps us all to achieve better understanding of the world and each other. This in turn can help us to get along better and also straighten our feeling of being part of one human race instead of being just many different groups with their own self-interests, which see others mostly as competition. Shared experiences and understanding helps us to see beyond superficial differences and see how we are fundamentally the same. Your grandma reminding younger generations that potatoes aren't indigenous plants in Kenya is one of the historical facts your villages share with Finland, or the whole Europe. It's been a significant part of the Finnish cuisine a long time, some hundreds of years. Its partly also tied partly to the invasion of Christianity to Finland. It might be something similar also in Kenya. Priests weren't the first to introduce potato to Finland. But they had a role in making it popular throughout the country. Christian religious organizations had a role throughout Europe in developing and transforming agriculture. That was a side effect of the power structures and the role it achieved in societies. By creating some prosperity to people it got acceptance by people. It didn't have to rely just using just force.
