I'm an AA and I've learned so much from their video's touring Africa. Their video's given me a since of pride knowing my people came from Africa. Here in America black people get shamed for being from Africa to the point some us don't even claim our African roots. This shameful self hate behavior need to stop. As a Aboriginal/ African American I wouldn't know half as much about Africa if it wasn't for my boy Wode and my girl Mrs. Trudy. They are way too sweet. They are always happy and kind when they visit other counties in Africa. These people uplift ALL of Africa until they are mistreated by that country. And that's not on them. They go to show that counties beauty and are shown by the people how ugly they really are. Instead of these places showing them that same love they target them to make their opressors happy. It's one thing if it's just a few people but they've been attacked by actual leaders too. It's sad.

@@africaine4889 My brother, I'm a diplomat and trust me Maya is doing more than most African diplomats. He has positively markets the continent in every possible way and his effort has brought light and attention to the mother land. Most politicians in Africa give diplomatic passport to their families, wife, children and friends while they don't do anything. So in my opinion Maya deserves a diplomatic passport forhis excellent work as freelance ambassador for the continent.

To repeesent their country and the effforts he does to promote ghana. Unless the AU gave him one to promote africa to the world which is not going to happen. Countries like Uganda orr Kenya or Namibia etc.. will not give hin any diplomatic passports just because he went there once and showed the beauty of their country. @@africaine4889 It's actually inferiority complex. Hate is a stronger 💪 word and shouldn't be used in this instance. To say that someone hates himself or herself 🙄 simply doesn't apply to the topic of discussion here. The Ugandan immigration officer who abused Wode Maya at Uganda airport is obviously jealous of Maya. She may not hate herself, but clearly she's not doing her job correctly. Wode Maya can sue her for damages if he chooses to. We cannot afford to damage the psych of the young Africans by parading the notion that Africans or black people hate themselves. That's not true 💖.

@Morgan Johnson, your support is much appreciated,. I will also like to add some clarity and factual corrections: 1. We African people existed and as a well established civilization before the father of the Hebrews, Abraham was born in Mesopotamia. That Abraham who was the grandfather of Yacob, lived as a refugee in our land for 7 years. Our people taught Abraham the Hebrew ritual of male circumcision. Our people free gave gifts of gold, silver, cattle and yes, servants to Abraham. The grandchildren of Abraham returned to our lands again as refugees after nearly 200 years of Abraham's earlier refuge. Abrahams grandchildren left after about 200 years. So I wish to make the cas that, although Abraham married a sista named Keturah after his first wife passed, and had 7 more negro sons by her, all of which are still spread across Africa, and although a few of the original descendants of Jacob live amongst us in Africa, we are not Hebrews, just simply watu weusi, taifa nyeusi (Black People of the Black Nation) commonly known as Africans not Hebrews.

For instance, it is fellow africans who participated in enslaving fellow africans. It is fellow africans who accuse others africans of coming to their country and taking their jobs while being perfectly ok with europeans and westerners, easterners coming, living, and getting rich. So, honestly i want to know "why" do we behave in such away? Please dont blame colonialism because we have the power to reject what others think about us.

We do that in the west in theory but in practice we turn out to be worse. In Tanzania the government and local authorities gave all Ukrainians on vacation, living in hotels free accommodation and food until conditions were possible for return flight. Check this up! At the same time the African students and I mean paid African students in Ukraine were treated less than dogs when the war broke out! Slavery and colonisation have mental effect on how some Africans treat their own and again how they handle their ex-colonisers. That’s an undisputed fact!!

I have subscribed to your channel. Africans should stop this self hate as other people/countries (non-Africans) do not do this to themselves. We need to improve how we treat our fellow Africans as not everyone is a deadbeat person. In doing so help themselves to the tourist money. Because some Africans due to level of disrespect decide to have their vacations outside African continent. They spend it in the US, Europe and Asia.

This type of inappropriate and unacceptable behaviour needs to stop. We need to treat ourselves with respect and have a sense of responsibility. Imagine a black police officer arrested an innocent black person, maltreated, beat him/her and locked him up and at the end of the day extorted money from him/her. Honestly, our people need to know their rights and refuse any behaviour that is inappropriate or unlawful.

Ndagire. You speak TRUTH! I am African American, and self-hate here in the states amongst Af-Ams is a HUUUuuuge problem!!! Always has been. There was an old saying that goes "if your white your alright; if your brown you can stick around; if your yellow your a ok fellow; and if your black; stay back. Af Ams we have a HUGE problem with color-classicism in the Af-Am community (i.e self-hate). Where the lighter you are the more preferred you are. And then like you said; we hate whats darker but want to blame white supremacy for EVERYthing including our own self-hate! This is easy to do. I live in Africa in 84 for a year in Libreville. Been to Senegal, Liberia, IvoryCst, Nigeria, Cameroon, Egypt (x2) and Gabon where I lived at my Gabonese friends house. It was a wonderful wonderful time I had Ndagire!! Back then "negritude" was still the prevailing energy left over from the ol Pan Africanis leaders like Nkrumah, Lumumba, Mugabe, Mandela, Nyerere and others in the Diaspora like Malcolm X and MLK, Bob Marley, Peter Tosh, etc etc. These were Pan Africanist GIANTS who fought hard to maintain black Pan Africanism and African self-love. But when they died, so did that beautiful energy of African self-love. Today AFrifcan Americans do not want to have anything to do with AFrica which is sad. And that mantra is being lead by a many of these AF-Am YT self-hating money-loving capitalist who only want Black Americans to listen to them so there channels can grow, get clicks, views and subs from their whyyyte YT masters and Googles in the form of pennies. So it saddens me to hear about this self-hate disease of blackness now prevailing in Africa. It is sooooo soooo sad. As a elder African American and Pan Africanist, I have come to the foregone conclusion that it is over for the African people on Earth. We're sunk into a deep dark abyss and I do not see us getting out - at least not in this lifetime. But continue to love yourself young beautiful sister. Never loose your love of Africa and yourself for NO one! And yes I have watched a few of Wode Maya's videos in China. He's good young brother and does good work.

@@neenahlacroix9869 Well thats good to know. You got black americans out on YT like Yvette Carnell and Antonio Moore of the ADOS condemning any black American who wants to acknowledge their AFrican heritage. And in a very nasty and vicious way. I think Yvette went to Africa she said she did and had a bad experience. Probably evolving around her complexion. She has said some very nasty things about Africa. Me as a Af AM I lived there, and the biggest mistake I had Neenah was coming back to thie cesspool called America. But I had to after a year of living in Gabon for family issues. What many Af Ams do not realize is that in 10 years, if Africa is not culturally economically and politically 'claimed' by the AFrican in Africa as well as the African diaspora, AFrica will be lost to ALL Africans no matter where they are on the planet. For Neo-colonialism is already rampant on the continent.

@Ndagire this truly hurts my heart. I have prided myself in giving intentional exceptional service & care a basic human decency to my people. An AfriKAN anyway is my sibling by blood whether I know you or not. You know the return is 9 out 10 times some kind of usary or taking because they think that this kindness is naïveté. Shamefully because obviously only a fool would treat an AfriKAN exceptionally well. 😢😢😢 that thing in us we can address but we continue to compound distrust among ourselves. We must first lift ourselves & the world will adjust to that. I have developed practical tools but it requires doing for it to happen. My love from 🙏🏾🫶🏾🇰🇪

The statement, "I have every right to make you miss your flight" is key. It is arrogance, rude, incompetence, intimidation, unnecessary threat, sub-standard customer service training and, a gross disservice to the country she serves. She does NOT YET HAVE ANY EVIDENCE of what she's accusing Wode Maya of but yet she goes on to state, "I have every right to make you miss your flight." She did not produce the 'photo' she claimed WM took. I would file an official report and sue that airline jointly and severally.

There's a bad habit that keyboard warriors seem to consistently follow; Group Think. Why not take time to find out why someone has said something before you start bashing them. What circumstances brought that conclusion to the person's mind? I think attacking someone because of their lack of knowledge of your country or your customs is a sad indictment on your personality and society. The patriotism of self-hate, where critical thinking is set aside and you join a mindless tirade against a stranger. It's an insidious sickness young Africans are catching and spread through social media. It's cyber bullying in its purest form. It would be remiss of me not to call you out on such reprehensible behaviour. If time had shifted and this generation had been tasked to form the Organisation of African Unity, I know it would fail due self-hate and jealousy. Grow up, young Africa. You are the future leaders. Old man OUT.
