Fay although your a hopeless romantic there's always hope especially when you're young. As we get older, hope becomes acceptance in that we may hope for something different. Love songs In my humble opinion, can be both healthy for us or harsh reminders a love that went south, east, west, or north however you want to describe it. I myself enjoy a good love song which balances out my musical taste.....I glad you enjoyed it....

I may have been all wrong, or let's say partially wrong, but I understood that as a child he had declared his love to the girl, by making a declaration to her (a declaration that he threw out like that, without really measuring the impact, being a child). Only she (perhaps more thoughtful, more mature), took this statement as a promise; and growing up, they continued to see each other; out of love and always having in mind what she took for granted, she gave herself to him. However, as the years went by, their relationship stagnated and she expected more from him, that he would formalize his love with a strong gesture. Fortunately, that's what he ended up doing at the end of the video.🤔
