Kevlar on the sidewalls and on the tire tread with marks " 100 /80 / 60 per Cent." I like the Nokians becaus they have much grip offroad ( also mud ) and are quiet /silent on the german Autobahn. Thanks for your known and subjective experience. Hello from Edmonton, Alberta (Canada). I appreciate your focus on sidewall strength. On gravel and mud roads or Rocky Mtn. Trails, all this matters. I’ve also heard great things about the KO2s and Discoverer AT3s. I’m personally debating between the Continental TerrainContact A/T, Firestone Destination XT or the milder AT2, and finally, the Nokian Rotiiva AT Plus. Tire Rack and Consumer Reports (USA) found it to come out at or near the top and above the AT3s. Not sure how their sidewall strength is based on your comment of another one of their tires. I’m finding very good things with the Destination AT2 and for more % of rugged off-roading, the XTs. Regarding Nokian’s …AT Plus, you may not have those available where you are, yet they do extremely well with winter tires and these AT tires like some winter tires have Aramid fibre material in sidewall which is apparently robust and advantageous. Maybe you have more to say about these as well or the Continentals mentioned. Again, enjoyed your review. Cheers 🇨🇦
@Africasideways3 жыл бұрын
Thanks for the feedback dude, I would not look at Conties for off-roading, weak sidewalls. They are great highway tyres.. Coopers are the top of the class. Not seen the Nokian in South Africa. dick cepek and Micky Thomson are also great. Firestone is middle of the road. Must be some great offroading in Canada, might need a mud tyre for winter thou, depending on usage.
