The first four minutes I was like yasssss love yasssss. I can't stand a 3 minute video for a 30 minute hairstyle. Have me trying to do what the blogger did to only come out looking like a mess cause they half ass the video to please the short attention span viewers, and then when you ask questions they don't answer. That's why I love your videos they're so informative. Probably why a lot of people don't like their natural hair because they tried copying their favorite hair vlogger and they hair never comes out right.

I love the long videos and I sit and watch them all the way through! If people aren't watching because of the length, you can try listing in the description bar the minutes + seconds you begin a certain topic and that way people can get to the information they want and those of us who enjoy the full video can still get all of the information. I believe KZbin calls them 'Deep Links' and they're clickable within the video. It would look something like this: 4:10 Trimming Myths 8:30 Trimming Facts

*snaps fingers* you keep it real! Kisses & hugs. I really needed this. Because every time I straightened my hair (once a year) the ends just wouldn't cooperate so I always just trimmed away without thinking. Now I've come to realize and accept that my hair will never straighten to the point that it looks like a relaxer no matter what I do and that's okay. My hair is just so much more happier when it's curly anyways. Also, long videos aren't a problem. The problem is when people are dancing and have glitter across the screen posing practically the whole length of the video and then giving a little advice. People need to work on their attention spans and looking for quality videos not just a bunch of fluff.

I love longer videos because they feel more in-depth. If you are watching a channel for info I don't know why you would want it rushed in a short video. I also have a lot of incomplete splits up the middle of my hair shaft on most of the strands even though I don't use heat and do moisturizing/deep conditioning, so I'm glad I'm not alone on that. What has been helping to strengthen my hair is the two min reconstructor from Aphogee. I have fine, hi porosity hair so it has been helping.

This video is everything. I don't heat style my hair often. Maybe once a year. I'm on top of my deep conditioning. I moisturizer when I feel there is need. No matter what.... My hair get single strand knots and splits. I started to trim more often because I thought that was the problem but I didn't think that was the problem. I recently gave up on that ish and decided to enjoy my hair and wear braids outs.

You have me some hope. I always wondered what I was doing wrong because I always experience breakage no matter how well moisturized my hair is. Hearing you say you experience it as well makes me feel better. My hair is definitely retaining length so I must be doing something right. Keep the info flowing bro!

Thank you so much for this video. I was thinking the other day why aren't there any natural hair stylists on KZbin to really educate us about how to properly care for our hair. I'm so glad I found you and that you care enough to make informative videos like this. And this has helped me because I just took out a protective style and I think I got some breakage so a trim is in order for me. Thank you again.

I'm debating whether I'm still going to do it because I had a lot of information to put in and a lot of editing to do for it and the shampoo video wasn't as popular as I had hoped. I hate putting in tons of work for a video and people don't want to watch it.

I love the long videos too. They are full of very helpful information that is needed. As for the shampoo video not getting the attention it needed, well that might be because some are still fighting bad hair habits. Informing people that going 1 to 2 months without washing their hair is NOT healthy hair care doesn't go over very well. Hard head makes for no edges and forever earlobe length hair. But keep the long videos coming please.

Thanks for making such informative videos. It's videos like this we need to watch the most. And you're right, a lot of us do want to just watch the shorter videos. Not that I ever thought I could get someone else' look because of whatever they did (I'm kind of pessimistic, plus I like to think I know my own hair pretty well), but some people are like that and we just don't want to take the time to inform ourselves, or in this case be informed.

Thank you so much I get a lot of single strand knots. I was worried about them and have yet to cut them out. Now that you say it's not as big of a deal and it comes with the type four hair that I have..... I am not going to stress them as much I will cut them of as I see them. I really don't get split ends mostly single strand knots and I'm glad for that. But I noticed since I started taking better care of my hair I noticed a lot less single strand knots! 😅 I guess that means I'm doing something right. Also.... I love your vids long or not you give such great information. Please keep it up👏

i actually prefer longer videos. i'm more inclined to watch a longer video than a shorter one (if the content is good, of course). you're very thorough and you're going thru hair school so i think it's beneficial to watch your 101's in full. please, keep making longer videos. i really enjoy them and i do miss penny! and speaking of trimming, i went 10 months without trimming once. i didnt add heat to my hair or anything. i went to the hair dresser and the lady trimmed off about an inch of hair. its when i started straightening every 2 weeks is when i had to trim very often.

I like your video format you currently have. The thing I would try doing is putting the longer videos in to sections and then in the description put down the time you get to each section so people can skip to the part they may need at that time. This way if I need to watch your 30 min video all the way through I will but if I need to go to the section of the video on a certain topic, I know what time to skip forward and watch.

Very informative info reference trimming your split ends. I love your videos. But I trim as needed. I notice when I used Nexus products my hair was healthy & I had no split ends. Of course my stylist passed so I manage my own hair care. Living on the desert in CA, it is very important to take care of your hair. I have just not located any black stylist here. So all of your information I take note. And I love your music.

I have a question.... My hair is very thin and it has been since I was a baby. I have been trying to grow out my hair since July. I really want to have long hair! My hairdresser/stylist whatever you want to call it, is aware that I want to grow it out. She has recommended that I get my hair trimmed every 2-3 three months, keep it healthy all that. I know that it's good to keep hair healthy but I just want to grow it out! I haven't noticed my hair getting longer at all. Should I just be done with trimming and let it grow out, then remove any damaged part that may be there when I get to my desired length? Also, i don't use heat that often. Most of the time I let my hair air dry, it's naturally straight so no reason for a straightener and I rarely curl it because I find it time consuming. What would you recommend for speeding up the hair growth process, or is that even possible? Thanks, your videos are awesome and very informative, if you think you need a 20 minute video to give all the information you feel we need then so be it! Thank you!
