I heard of this one when people in facebook groups were getting it rebound LOL! I like the print size. I've never read NASB but picked one that I had at home (95) and was reading some favorite passages and decided I like it LOL! so I ordered this one to give it a shot!

I use the 1995 NASB. There is an additional feature that I really like. In the NT writings that are quoting the OT, the OT Text is printed ALL CAPS. The writer does not always tell us that the OT is being quoted, but the translation does.

I'm legally blind and this was my first introduction to the nasb back in the early nineties. I now own a lockman 95 nasb and giant print and I love it. I just wish you could find a giant print premium Bible those seem to be quite rare

i just ordered one of these today, i love the nasb (not the 2020) i'm going to send it off to have it rebound in full grain leather when it comes in. as much as i love the 95 i couldn't pass up a 77 for $28 ($36 after tax and shipping)

Great video! I bought this bible and it’s a good bargain. The nasb 77 is forgotten nowadays but shouldn’t be. It’s the standard that other translations tried to emulate.

AMG is really an helpful publication company. They provide the word study dictionary , study helps etc. I really appreciate this bible, is it symth sewn? The 1977 NASB hand sized bible, great review.

I just ordered this one.I wish the font was a bit larger as my eyes are not getting any younger,but hard to find in a smaller bible. I prefer the smaller ones for travel reasons.

| L E T T E R I N G | I bought a large letter KJV this summer to make reading more enjoyable to share with my two year old grandson. I do recommend the larger print when reading to small children, the smaller text seems too compacted when compared to other illustrated Bible story books. Education com has alphabet bible block letters and list scriptures for each letter...this is where we use the large print.

Good review. I didn't know they still printed the 1977 version of the NASB. I'm definitely getting one. Will probley get my daughter one to. We tried using the KJV but have a hard time understanding it. I have a 95 version and it's alot easier to understand than the KJV. So seeing the 77 version has some old wording like the KJV and newer wording like the 95 that would fit my daughter and myself's needs. That is really cool how they mix the old with the new. That makes for a great Bible

The paper is decent, but not amazing. It does definitely have ghosting and is not line matched. But it still reads pretty nicely, in my opinion.

Bleedthru is there, however it is nowhere near as back as a Lockman. It could be a bit better. Overall a nice bible.

I personally have a huge appreciation for the nasb bible translation I think it's a scholarly and sensible, not to mention elegant and articulate translation. I only loathe one translation which is the niv. . . the Hollywood version of the bible haha. What do you all think about those hardcore kjv crew that despise the nasb!! I always stick to the idea that A) I love, cherish and respect the kjv for one but B) I think using more/both of the translations is just as valuable if not more valuable than being so legalistic and dogmatic about the kjv. "They" (kjv thumpers ) act as if you are inviting unholy, blasphemous, devil worshipping, debauchery into your life...and I only see a few "minor" passages that could be misconstrued, or conversely, wanting, in others such as the nasb etc. I personally also think these folk walk the danger of clinging to 'letter of the law' mindsets too much, like scribes and Pharisees in the time of the lord, (they, kjv only crew) being without the little bit of "flexibility" to have discernment, and an unclouded vision to see through the superficiality of such religious views as their views and furthermore of the truly horrible translations; and negate thinking clearly with ones own mind (and to wit, the holy spirit counsel, not just a rigid "kjv only" dogmatism) well I think I answered all my questions on the secondary point. Now I just wanted to say that I wasn't really planning on going way off the subject of this video and I'd like to apologize to you all and especially to you, the host, Tim....Maybe I should think before opening my big mouth. That being said, I just wanted to add one more comment for the record, and that is that when I say ' King James Only ' I don't mean people that only read the King James bible ..if that is the case I heartily endorse anyone who does so because I have more respect for the King James bible than any other. What I am referring to is a group of people that associates with the name King James Only ...an almost cult like group that acts like any other bible translations or people who read them are evil or heretical. I don't want to make a big deal about it and that seems like the bluntest way to describe it...but basically, I don't really agree with that and yet even in stating that I must contradict myself and say that I also have quite a bit of respect for people that think this way. Here's why. Some, or many of them, are quite well educated on the subject ( more than me ) and make a convincing argument ( if you can call it that ) that they are entirely justified and correct in thinking this and in their actions. I respect their dedication to the King James bible and actually support their efforts for the most part but I think they also go too far, becoming dogmatic or even self righteous. I can't say that with certainty, nor do I really care to point a finger, but for example, removing me from a King James Community group online because I also endorse the nasb is ridiculous in my opinion. And yet I almost feel that way about the niv bible! I, however, would not dream of saying or acting with the religious fervour that some of those people do, but it is also just not my style. I just think the niv is crap, even though I read it as well on occasion. I love love love the bible. The more translations the better. I read 4 or 5 constantly. But to me the nasb, the berean, the king james, and even the nlt/nlb are definitely all very important to me for different reasons. But specifically, I always use these two: the nasb and the kjv, -I think they are like a perfect marriage. anyway enough babbling, God bless to you all
