I love the balanced flavor of coquito. When the liquor overpowers the coconut flavor, it's ruined. It's like adding way toomuch jerk seasoning to chicken where you can no longer taste the chicken or even the flavor of the spiced because it's too hot.

With coquito being traditionally from Puerto Rico, the most authentic looking one was that of Bianca, coquito should be light beige not watery and with cinnamon on top, however Don Q is the preferred rum for puertoricans.
