Deep inside of me there's still a teenager even though I'm 71years old and nobody can take that away from me, we had great music, great girls, so beautiful that I even married one, and still married to my highschool sweetheart and she's still beautiful in and out. Thank you Lord !♡

The greatest... unless you were Black (who did not know your place), Latino/Hispanic, gay, a woman with an unwanted pregnancy, mentally ill, a drug addiction (no one chooses addiction), a war protestor... anyone really, who did not fit the image of "Good American." I lived those years. Great music, great cars, great fashion (unless you were fat, of course), but a great world? No. It's better now, but we still have a lot to achieve to make us a great nation. I can still love the music of the 60s, though...

@@ElizabethBrewster-cw4mx When people reflect back on their younger years, they usually get nostaligic that's why they think about the good times and not necessarily the unpleasantness Liz. What exactly more can we do become a great nation?

What's so great about this is that this is a self-selected audience. The studio may have been able to "pick and choose" who could be there, but it was from a pool of people who already wanted to be there. They are already motivated to show off their dance moves and glad to hear the music presented over a good sound system. I bet, for some, it would be a story they still tell today.

Hard to believe that Steve Winwood was only 16 when this Song came out. He was next to Joe Cocker one of the First Blue Eyed Soul Singers along with Tom Jones to come out of The UK.

@@66impala71 Can you imagine how much "Bank" he made off of The Big Chill & The Blues Brothers and Chicago did I'm A Man on The UK Music Show The Beat Club. Also he made "Bank" off of Mad Men when Don Draper went to Los Angeles to visit Megan. Also Olivia Newton-John did "her" version on The Totally Hot Album after Grease was released.

Great tune there. A cross-over time for music production. Top 40 hit-parade was showing limitations in 'face of the hippy movement. Longer playing album format' such as "Underground FM' were dawning. KMPX SF...Tom Donahue. 107.1 on the FM dial. The first one of it's kind? Listened during those times of Monterey Jazz Festival. KSAN domination in Bay Area came a bit later. Thanksfor memories.
