For guys ir you did not wear a suit jacket with necktie, then you were not cool. Later, as in this video, a sweater with necktie.

I didn’t know that Dick Clark used to come through curtains on American bandstand. But in 1967 I was only four years old and we didn’t start watching American bandstand until the 70s when it was in color.

I would have been eight years old and would dread my Father forcing me to get a buzz cut, after months letting my hair get long enough near the ears, I could comb it forward to look like sideburns. I was obsessed with wanting my own real sideburns. By the 80's nobody had them anymore.

I thought 3 was the best. I forget this one. We watched it every day after school and danced to it. Even our parents would sometimes join in, lol.

Keith looks so much like Paul McCartney! Saw him with the Raiders back in 1973. Roberta appears to have a great personality! Together - an entertaining video!

What a great song. Seems like yesterday . I was 17 and graduating in 1969. What an amazing time to grow up. Prayer and pledge of allegiance before school started, every morning. The best music ever.

This show was broadcast on my 6th birthday, so I decided to watch this video, and wow, the memories came flooding to the forefront of my mind. My father returned home from Vietnam a few months earlier. I still remember that day when he came home and my eyes tear up as I do. We were lucky. So many didn’t make it. The music was great, but I came of age in the 80’s, so I have a different soundtrack from my youth.
