@@larryferrell4111 "Hard to believe" is simply a turn -of-phrase. What I meant is that, in the context of modern culture, it is unusual to find someone so young and so wise, simultaneously. We are free to disagree, but I'm definitely not here to be insulted by strangers on the internet. Have a nice day.

You can tell the interviewer has come to personally know and came to admire Ali! You can see in the way he looks at Ali, the admiration he holds! Ali was a man who was able to attract admirers! And not because of hhis boxing talent, or his gift of gab, charming smile and good looks, or his soft spoken wit... But, because he was a man of his word,, who stood by his convictions,, who was unable to be broken by society or of what he thought was expected of him to just get by! There are very few men of that quality! And those that maintain it, will always have people look to and admire them with respect and love! A man true to himself is the only man to follow!

The original golden boy was MLK Jr who was the true leader of Civil Rights and he believed in nonviolent protest & integration while Ali was the complete opposite as he was part of a black seperationist & terrorist group/ Nation of Islam that believed in non-integration and revolution through violence. The NOI was a hate group that hated Jews & Whites. Obama is better looking, smarter, has more charisma and is a much better speaker who easily could've been a professional singer and comedian. Obama has been the best U.S. President since Teddy Roosevelt.

you mean the original pretty boy. compare a young Ali to pretty boy Floyd, Ali makes Floyd is a ugly motherf*cker. Yeah 100% agree with you, blacks should live with other blacks and same with browns and yellows. Then there will be peace. Look in Africa, how can there be racism in Africa if everyone is black ? So there is peace. But do they all want to move back home.
@connshawnery6489
@connshawnery6489 2 жыл бұрын
@@hungrysurfer9471 I don’t agree with this line of thinking. It’s an over simplification of human interaction and lacks any depth of perception. All things aren’t equal, even when they are equalized. If the races were divided, they would still suffer from prejudice, divisiveness, classism, struggles of hierarchy, social unrest and cognitive dissonance. These concepts are not limited to or dependent on whether races live amongst each other or not. These are features of humanity, not byproducts of mixed cultures and phenotypes.
@damienholland9244
@damienholland9244 2 жыл бұрын
@@hungrysurfer9471 That is an old, outdated way of thinking. And besides we are all mixed race at this point. The human species originates from Africa but from there the races evolved and mixed together. Every society is multicultural. And it's unrealistic to expect two people who fall in love but are different race to separate.

Muhammad Ali speaks … it’s all been lost now except for those of us who were there and were impacted by the majesty of his presence and his very words. I’ll never forget the meetings I had with Ali … January 13 and 14, 1984, at the Seattle SeaTac Red Lion and I was able to tell and thank him in pertinent part: “Muhammed, I saw you in your fights with Frazier, Foreman, Cooper, Norton, Bonavena, Chuvalo, all of them and so many more. But the greatest fight you ever had was when you took on the US Government, the Military Industrial Complex, the Joint Chiefs of Staff, the CIA, and told them “Hell no, I won’t go!” And you won that fight and were vindicated by the Supreme Court of the United States. That was your greatest fight and I, again thank you, Muhammed Ali!” Muhammed Ali wept as he turned his head to the side trying to shield his face from my eyes to hide his tears. It was at that moment in time when he penned: “To Young Firpo. Service to others is the rent we pay for our room in Heaven. Muhammad Ali, January 14, 1984” Here in this interview is the man, Muhammad Ali, who stood by the power of his conviction, and that conviction has stood by and with me to this very day some 38 years later, serving me in good times and bad. 🙏🙏🙏

This makes me a bit sad because when i lived a short time in NYC i met my best friend there who is a black man and we were a group of 6 guys and i was the only white guy but i felt closer to those friends than in all my life with anyone in Canada. I so look up to Ali and cheered him to beat anyone i was in the ring with. He was my champion and still is ! I do think Muhammad Ali softened a bit on his views the older he got.As well he was faced with the government making life hard for the champ at this time too. I dont blame him for how he felt at that time. I admire him for not going to fight for a political corporate agenda either. God bless Muhammad Ali!

To be so young and to be as wise and know his mission in life at 28 is a true blessing. And as he aged he softened his view on integration and saw that Aligah Mohammed was a hypocrite who took advantage of young black women. He followed his own truth and stayed true to his religion of peace. And later regretted turning against Malcolm X who became enlightened faster than he did.

This is before he braced true Islam that preaches equality and brotherhood amongst all races and creed. Later in life Ali became more pure and preached justice and coexistence and stood against conflict, violence and war. This man was a legend in and out of the ring. When you compare previous role models with that of todays, cant help but feel very concerned.

Muhammed Ali always embraced other races , when he was in the Nation of Islam and a Sunni Muslim , but he ALWAYS believed in the prosperity and the togetherness of the Black race his own race . He married his own , he produced his own (children) and he worshipped with his own He respected others but he loved his own .

As entertaining as he was you can see he was on a mission and he wasn't bullshitting. What people saw as entertaining and fun, he wasn't there talking just for fun, the man was talking to get the message out to everyone weather you're a Muslim or not. A majority of his interviews you can see in the end he's not there to entertain us like some kind buffoon or clown, the interviews never end with everybody all happy and dandy, and it's not because he's trying to be that way on purpose, it's just that with all the shit going on right in front of him he would have to be a lying fool to himself and everybody else if he just came out and did interviews just for our entertainment. I'm not even a Muslim but in this interview alone hes packed in so much knowledge wisdom and understanding that I can honestly say that I learned more from him than any other.
