The snapping over and over again is such a weird design decision because they solved this problem 20 years ago. After 4 instant transmission dodges both sides used to clash and go back to neutral. Without the stamina system of Xenoverse or that solution from the old Tenkaichi games the game is stuck in that dumb instant transmission mini-game.

I feel like the extra defensive option is what makes the game feel more technical which in turns makes it so the game loop isn't so repetitive, there as been so many different play styles to countering and being offensive plus the wide variety of characters. Even just watching your gameplay, You play style has changed so much just from a week ago and changed around the team your building. This game is gonna be around for a hot minute.

Afro if you're gonna settle on Broly the tech for both is to do your charge super and immediately transform once, get full ki and immediately use the charge super of the next form again. If timed right you'll land them both. Each transformation for Broly gives you full ki you never noticed

If you do up triangle then follow up with 4 squares you can recovery lock ppl until the hit the ground and lay there for 3 seconds. Enough time to pop a senzu, charge a blast for a sure hit or get off a rush attack

I really like this game, but the Z vanish battles suck, there's just no other way to put it. Once you get the timing it's just muscle memory, it's not hard, there's no genuine counterplay, you're stuck until no ki. The game slows down to a snails pace when that happens. it's just not fun. BT3 handled that way better, after 4 vanishes, it resets the two players. To be honest I think the window to do it should be shorter, and the animation should be way faster. I hope they will adress this, but i'm not holding my breath. I don't think they will really care about balancing the gameplay mechanics

Your comments about too many defensive options seems to be shared with some other KZbinrs, but I have to disagree on this occasion. There are about 8-10 different ways to smack up an opponent and only 4 main defensive options. Perception, Z-Counter, Super Counter, Block. Fighting games shouldn't just prioritise combo chains ad infinitum and special moves. They look cool, but it's not fun; nor does it resemble how most fights in the series go. Defense is important and I'm glad it was given good priority in this installment.
