If your girl asks for one, and you say no, she'll do it anyway. He said yes to keep her in the dark about his plans. He wanted to stay for his kid and steal the money, so might as well say yes. Saying no changes nothing. To get to the point to have the courage to even ask for one, the person has thought a lot about it, they're completely convinced that this is what they want, that is for the best. This narration was pretty bad. Why would the channel waste time saying “And now from Ben’s/Kathy’s perspective” when the perspective already changed prior to the announcement. The switching back and forth just causes confusion in following the story and once I have to rewind 2 or 3 times to listen carefully and determine who exactly is speaking, I’m out.
