His reaction to this suggestion was a textbook example of world-class simping. And, this other man was also married. Why didn't he think to ask if the other man's wife was aware of this suggestion? Was this other man was going to ask for permission to spend the weekend away with another woman? I really don't get why this wouldn't come up in the conversation almost immediately. It wasn't just destroying her own marriage, it was wrecking two marriages in one go.
