Adesuwa Onyenokwe is a TV icon.
Growing up, she was one of my inspirations - hosting two of the biggest talk shows in Nigeria, ‘One on one’ and ‘Today’s Woman’.
I noted that she had just marked 40 years in the media industry (she didn’t even remember!) and I said ‘aunty, I’d like to celebrate your anniversary on my show’.
We talk about the glory days, when everyone in the country knew her name and she was one of the biggest stars of any generation. What did she learn? What does she think of the scene now? Does she miss being TV’s golden girl?
And how did she do it as a producer and presenter of multiple shows while raising SEVEN children?
She tells me that she decided to stop using contraceptives despite not wanting more children - because she heard God tell her ‘Be open to Life”.
And she tells me that has become the most important decision she ever made in her life - and why more couples should have that faith.
THEN: We also talk about her viral interview with Bobrisky, and she tells me exclusively what Bobrisky told her off camera about Bobrisky’s gender and about Bobrisky’s skin-lightening business.
This is a #WithChude Classic.

A great woman and a legend. She earned my respect many years ago when she was with the NTA when tv was tv and professionalism was a badge of honour. Happy to see her looking good despite her age.

Na wa o madam Adesuwa. Your husband had a a baby on the way , you agreed to marry him and he dictated the church to get married to you and you agreed too . Choice of wedding comes from the lady what was that?
@onyinyeakachukwueze3058
@onyinyeakachukwueze3058 23 сағат бұрын
That's not true... If you marry Yoruba choice of wedding can come from the woman but if you're about to marry Igbo choice of wedding is from the man. Infact even when some of them can't remember the last time they entered church but they will suddenly remember their family church which in most case is Roman Catholic or Anglican church.

A man told you he’s expecting a child with another woman, and you agreed to marry him. Una get mind I swear. Imagine a man getting your own child pregnant 🤰and went on to marry another girl while your daughter is still pregnant. I just lost all of my respect for this woman that I have respected almost all my life.

I think you should be blaming the man for marrying another woman when one is pregnant for him. But what exactly is your pain.
@dazedfemme
@dazedfemme 2 күн бұрын
@@coderite_ there's no need to blame the man even. Maybe they weren't in love and it was just a fling. He took his responsibility. Also how does she know that the lady wanted to marry him?
