Without him, Inglourious Basterds would be a very good war movie. With him it became a psychological horror war masterpiece.

Through 2 Tarantino films, Walz gave us one of Hollywood’s greatest villains and one of Hollywood’s greatest heroes.

Yes, I think so too. But we also need to appreciate that Tarantino created the greatest villain in the history of cinema.

@@Viacinemaa From a Cultural Standpoint, Darth Vader is the GOAT ofc and its difficult to compare because every child on earth knows him, but in a sense of pure quality of writing and acting, i agree that Hans Landa is perfection and he still spooks me to this day, always thinking about the strangling and the interrogation scene of the farmer
@Acaerwen20 сағат бұрын
It is very nice to hear the regard in which Waltz holds Tarantino, even so much as to deflect praise unto Tarantino as if Waltz was undeserving. Of course, it goes without saying from our view what a masterful actor Waltz is, but he always reminds the media that these characters are not his creations.

So happy Tarantino fished him out of Germany and use his raw talent. This guy is not only a genius but a super talented actor and thanks to Quentin we got to know how amazing he is. Baffles me that Christoph wasn't making it as an actor over there with how many language he speaks fluently and how good he is. Their loss our gain !

The first Tarantino film I ever watched was Django Unchained and the reason I liked & got into Tarantino's style was majorly because of the way Christoph Waltz portrayed it. The best thing of both Django Unchained & Inglorious Bastards is Christoph Waltz performance.
