Another inspirational patient. What is invisible here is her mastery over her fear and anxiety enough to be superlatively articulate. Always thanking her caregivers, her support. May your remission be permanent!

Julie, your story has helped me more than you'll know as the wife with someone with MM. Thank-you and thank-you The Patient Story.

Each person, it appears reacts differently. It is a difficult process because you are being poisoned . The drugs also react somewhat differently for each patient. Your physical and mental health help also plus the support from family and friends keep you going.

MM is destroying the life my wife and I built over the years. Remission, followed by a return, chemo, immunotherapy, cortisone…dreams being destroyed, pain and depression. Its hard for her so its hard on us both. Im praying for a cure as we all are.

Not knowing the severity of your MM, just make sure you are receiving treatment at a top notch facility. I am the wife of someone with MM. I credit his sustained remission with his care. With the new medication, there is much buzz about operative cures now , including buzz from the doc who I believe is overseeing Julie's treatment at Mt Sinai. Don't lose hope on this!

Do not have an MRI with contrast. The contrast Gadolinium can cause massive proliferation of multiple myeloma, please look into it. I will be praying for you. ❤️🙏

From what I've read, Myeloma isn't curable. But it can go into remission for periods of time, and it can often be treated.

It is…I’m three years into treatment…I know when the treatment stops the myeloma peaks again…
