My hubby has stage 4 RCC. He's been thru the ringer with infusion & immuno therapies, a tyrosine kinase & angiogenesis inhibitor targeted therapy, an atineoplastic/immunosuppressant/kinase inhibitor, & now he's on a monotherapy & another tyrosine kinase inhibitor that's also an angiogenesis inhibitor. This last 1 seems to be working at the moment & the side effects are at least tolerable enough that he's been able to stay on it for about 10 months now, enough that his prognosis is "stable"; there is no cure for him😢. Prayers & his cancer support group are what is getting him thru life at the moment.

You have got tobekidding me. Yourvideo is way way to loud. The musicisannoyingas heck andthewordson the screen run too fast to be able to read (most especially for older people but I also think people of any age) I tried to watch it several times but gave up. Sloppy workmanship on whoever made this videi!

I have zero support system. What about those who have no one? What if we decide not to have treatment at all? What if we don’t mind letting go? Will doctors lock me up in a psych ward or force me to have it? Are we allowed as humans to decide our own fate?

UPenn have the most stellar MDs. My family has so many experiences with the medical professionals of university of Pennsylvania both in Philadelphia, and Hershey. They saved my now 5 year old when he was just 6 months old. I cannot ever repay them, nor show my actual level gratitude. I’m so pleased when I hear others having a similar harrowing experience and positive outcome with them. They truly are miracle workers.

I’m glad for you. My cousin and another close family member through marriage both had the same attitude and drive and both passed very quickly. So much of it is luck. I wish that this random factor was mentioned. You were very unusually lucky and that’s a great and very rare thing. Sometimes I get the sense that survivors assume it’s due to their commitment and drive and that commitment in drive is also in those who died. All the best to you…

Thankfully I had a great primary care doctor at Stanford. He listened to me when we spent months trying to figure out a digestion issue. After 3 months trying different things I had a feeling something was bad and my doctor believed me. That was all I had, a feeling. He ordered a CT scan and found my cancer. That was 13 years ago. Life has been good since. And I'm so grateful to my primary care doctor.

Thank goodness you persevered. It’s really difficult as I’m going through this now and I’m being told we did the scan of the scan and nothing is showing up and yet I lost 55 pounds have no appetite have other symptoms as well that are cyclical. I know I’m sick. I know something wrong. Good for you for keeping on keeping on. Please consider getting a bone density test if you haven’t already. After I lost the 50 pounds I had no idea that my bone density became severe loss of bone which puts me at high risk for fractures. While I was looking at osteoporosis, which I was diagnosed with after the bone density test, I found out that after radiation treatment and other cancer treatments you can sometimes also get severe osteoporosis. Perhaps you know all this because you’re mentioning breaking bones, but because you didn’t mention it specifically and your attributing it to your imbalance in your pelvic floor. I just wanted to put that out there for anyone who has gone through menopause is going through menopause is a small frame and/or has cancer treatments, this is completely understudied and underfunded for studying because it’s a women’s issue even though that makes up half the population + I’m not a pill taker myself, but the doctor wants me to begin taking a medication for bone density loss and said that after a year one person she knew on the drug Drug increased their bone density by --[I was thinking it would be a large number at least 50% however…] 6%. She said that after 2 1/2 to 5 years, it could be more of a periodic drug because my bone density may increase if I take to the Drug. TMI myself 😂❤ I wish you all the best
